Correction to Mav. I doubt anyone from BH has "HATTED" on Lumberton! Last time we played you guys was probably in the 90's (not much history here). I for one was rooting Lumberton on last year because if you aint PNG or Nederland in that district you don't get much respect! I hope Lumbeton tears through district again, but this game I gotta root for THE HILL!! Can't wait for Saturday these young Eagles have something to proove and I hope they do it this game!!! Go Eagles takem out!!

Much, much bigger than the Barbers Hill visitor stands. At least the the ones I saw last year when Lumberton played Smiley there. Cool! I figured they would be, I think we have the smallest visitor stands in 4A!

Come on PNG fans Ive been waiting for someone to post this, so I could comment! I guess I'll have to take it in my own hands ;D With the preseason Hype of Crosby's predictive placing of 2nd in our district, I would have given Crosby the edge in this match up. Last Week Crosby lost to a predicted last place finisher in district 16-4A Waco U!!! Don't know what is going on in Crosby land but that is dissapointing!!! With that I think PNG will continue on at 2-0 winning another close game on the road! If Crosby plays like they did last week PNG could open it up some!!! What your thoughts Indians??? Cougars??? Just curious - is there a difference in throwing and passing? Completions ;D Touche' BH Fan - but which is which? Ok you asked for it ;D ;D ;D as you can see by the definitions below throwing in conjunction with passing. You can throw all day long but it's not a pass untill someone recieves it ;D ;D good lord I'm bored!!!! Throwing -to propel or cast in any way, esp. to project or propel from the hand by a sudden forward motion or straightening of the arm and wrist: (to throw a ball). Passing-To transfer a ball or puck to a teammate or To transfer (a ball, for example) to a teammate, as by throwing. so in conclusing my answer is Passing

BH always tries to run a ballanced attack and by end of year they usually accomplish this with the Run/Pass yards being a couple of hundred off. BH runs the spread offense and loves to run it up the gut. Against the run they fair well although they give up a good amount of yards they generally don't let teams bust off large runs (Bend but don't Break). I think the Offensive line protects well as long as there are no blitz packages!! I think with just one game under our belt BH will improve alot this week. I'm hoping for a win,but again it is too early to tell!

Thats a fair observation. I too cannot make a prediction because I don't know squat about Lumberton football ;D If Lumberton plays the power run type of football then BH will be able to contain this pretty well as the defense usually bends but doesn not break against the run. If the Defense can apply pressure on Carmona then that very well could be the difference. With what little I know about Lumberton this is going to be a low scoring affair and the team that holds on to the ball will probably come away with the victory. Lumberton is another team that has a great Fan base!! I watched you guys against Smiley and LaMarqe last year and you guys brought the HOUSE!!

On this note I'm done! Good post! Goodluck to the Indians next week! don't know much about Crosby this year,but it should be another tight game. Yalls QB's and running backs did a good job! I think if PNG opens up the pass a little more that yall's RB's should have a huge year!!

WOW! so having an opinion that differs from yours constitutes as "no class". hmmm.... I guess in the end, however you choose to paint the picture.... We left Barbers Hill with a win. Best of luck to Barbers Hill for the rest of 2008. We look forward to showing you what a real home crowd and stadium looks like next year when you travel to the Reservation. Differing opinions are great that is what the board is all about! Not congradulating the other team while making up crap to make you look more superior is where the NO CLASS comes from 8) Even taking shots at our crowd--- NO CLASS ;D I would have hate to seen the EXCUSES if you would have lost Oh and if everytime PNG had the ball the quarterback fell down BH would have won 14-0 ;D ;D

Well I figured there would be a couple of no class posters! too bad one of them is a Moderator. And to answer both of you geniuses, YES I was at the same game you were obviously not wearing purple shaded sunglasses! PNG had no where near the fans BH brought to the game! Remember your side holds 1000 and BH side holds 4000 that means that even though there were empty spaces we still could have more. There was only a hand full of PNG fans on the BH side, so don't thing yall took up our stands!! You can paint the game anyway you wish, The fact is you lost one fumble due to a BH hit which means it was forced and then advanced some 30 to 40 yards and caped off by a 20 yard pass!!! The other was a gift to BH by a dropped punt. Did you two forget when BH was driving and threw an interception when it was 1st and goal?????? Again COULDA SHOULDA WOULDA you can't predict the outcome of a game by twisting it the way you think it would have happened. It comes down to execution and a little luck, PNG catches a double tipped pass in the endzone from his back to win the game. So AGAIN Congrats PNG and coaches for a well earned victory on the road it was a pleasure watching the game.

Both teams had a lot of class tonight and played their hearts out. I met several PNG fans tonight and everyone of them i spoke to were great! PNG has a great tradition and I'm also glad that we are scheduled to play each other!! Again Good luck PNG! Crosby game next week doesn't get any easier they should have a good team this year.
