  1. Nope, I'm talking about the Varsity ;D
  2. Baytown lee by two TD's. Central lost an excellent QB to graduation and when these two meet last year Baytown's QB went out early. Baytown lee may have the most balanced attack that they have had in years and will be the team to beat in their district. Central is no slouch I just think that we will see some good things from Baytown Lee this year!! Goodluck to both teams
  3. Was your three year started the one who was chased down and caught from behind by the BH safety (To save a TD)? If so that is what I baised my comment on, knowing that we do not have any world class speed in our secondary. If that was someone else then I take back my observation.
  4. No where near "Dominating". BH Held there own during a scrimmage of which one of their best players on the team was out and we had a lot more rotating through the scrimmage than WOS has on their whole team. PS. I know you were fishing for some smack, so here ya go! Dayton takes this one to the House ;D
  5. I watched WOS scrimmage BH last night and stick with my prediction. Dayton by two TD's!!! Good thing is I can catch this game because BH opens up on Saturday ;D P.S. Dayton scouts were all over at the game ;D
  6. Sexton it tough!! he will be back ;D
  7. After loosing what BH did last year I was impressed with BH's team!!
  8. Not exactly : WOS won 2-0 during the controlled scrimmage with one of the scores coming on the last or second to the last plays of the scrimmage. (70 yard Bomb) During the one quarter of game type of the scrimmage WOS won 7-0. During the controlled portion of the scrimmage WOS defense played well limiting BH to 3 to 4 1st downs, but BH ever threatened. WOS played pretty good on offense they had a fumble and threw and interception and had the typical first scrimmage mistakes but look good and move the ball well. Although WOS was moving the ball well BH bent but never broke making WOS earn their yards. BH's Defense was impressive (Even without Sexton!!! went out first play of game) the secondary needs some work, but the line was getting penetration and making some good stops (Especially at the goal line) During the game portion of the scrimmage WOS took its opening drive and scored, but again no break aways WOS earned the TD with a well laid out drive. After this BH's D tightened up and didn't allow too much. BH on offense sputtered of course WOS Defense had something to do with that. BH had a good drive going at the end, ending the game with a 30 yard run up the middle. Over all here is what I thought about the two teams. BH Offense looks rusty, but I saw some bright spots like Carmona's arm! Carmona throws the ball strong has a tight spiral and good placement Also he made some smart decisions during the game. Little runs the ball well and once Sexton is back to block for him we could see some good things! Also the other running back BH had in (Don’t know his name) he was small but quick through he line!! The Offensive line opened some good holes and protected the QB well. On Defense I was impressed with the penetration the line was getting! The secondary although played well at times, I hope the kinks get worked out!! WOS I don’t know any of the players, but WOS QB has good size and can run the ball. His throwing was off, but that will come as the season goes on. WOS RB was also a hard runner, doesn't seem as speedy as the RB's in the past but he runs the ball hard and is a load to bring down. Receiving core seems solid as they caught some misplaced passes during the game and have speed. Offensive line may have some problems as BH was making good penetration, but with the RB he doesn’t need much of a hole. Defense played well on the line and secondary only allowing one big play by BH. Over all it was a good scrimmage and it’s tough to tell at this point how the teams will do. Both teams are down this year and will have to work their butts of if they want that district crown this year. Goodluck to both teams! Thank God football is here ;D
  9. Dayton by two TD's is not out of the question! Dayton Returns tons this year while WOS lost a lot of STARS not just regular players ,but DIV I talent. I see Dayton by two TD's.
  10. Great year for BH!! Going to mis those seniors!
  11. Good luck Jasper!! I wish one gamers were not optional at this stage!!!! regardless of who wins you will never know who had the better team!!!
  12. OMG!!! What an awesome job Jasper did!!!! 18-1 in the Semi Regionals!!!!! Go get state Jasper!!
  13. Price Sr. is still the AD, but Price Jr. who was the OC left for Commerce!!
  14. Congrats BC!!! I didn't thnk the Cards would have a chance in this seris!!!! Congrats on showing the state yet again that you are a force to be reckoned with. Take game 2 and good luck
  15. Just got back from the game and BH was just beaten by a better team!!! Montgomery has a good team and played a good seris, congrats to the Bears!! Barbers Hill has exceeded everyones expectations this year in just about every sport 1st year in 4A and you guys go to the Reginol Semi's!!! Great season Eagles! Gonna miss these seniors ,but what a team BH will have next year!!! Thankyou Class of 2007 for an outstanding year in Eagle Sports!!!!
  16. Me too ;D Nothing like some summer football to ease the pain 8)
  17. So true, This district has a problem with focusing on the now!!!! We know about the past and that doesn't win any games now ;D
  18. They can bring it, but can they use it
  19. From the BH Sports Report. Montgomery Takes Game 1 Against BH, 2-0 Montgomery Bears took what was given and held on for a 2-0 victory over Barbers Hill in game 1 of a best of three series. Game 2 now moves to Mont Belvieu where Kendall Thamm will take on Montgomery ace, Bobby Stone. The game will be played Thursday at 7 p.m. The starting pitchers for both teams pitched very well as the stats bear out. Eagle Ross Hales, who took the loss, gave up 2 unearned runs and 4 hits while striking out 5. Hales walked 2 and the Eagles committed 4 costly errors behind the lefty. Montgomery starter Cody Springer allowed 4 hits, 1 walk, 3 hit batters while shutting out the Eagles. With one out in the second, Hales walked designated hitter Chip Rogers. Rogers then stole second to get into scoring position. When second baseman Matt Johnson grounded a 1-hopper back to Hales, Rogers took off for third. A major blunder on Rogers part would turn into the Bears first run when the throw to the third baseman could not be handled allowing Rogers to slide in safely. A ground out by the next batter plated Rogers as Montgomery took a 1-0 lead. In the third, the Bears would once again score without putting the ball out of the infield. Bear first baseman Bobby Stone legged out a chopper over Hales head for an infield hit. Then on a pickoff move to first, Stone took off for second. But once again instead of recording an out, the Bear runner ended up safely reaching the base when the throw struck the side of the runner. Two pitches later, Stone found himself on third when a Hales' pitch landed in front of the plate. Third baseman Chance Eggleston's grounder short allowed Stone to score Montgomery's second run. For the most part, Stringer kept the Eagles in check. Though Barbers Hill had 7 left on base, only 1 reach third. BH did have 2 runners on base in the 3rd, 6th and 7th innings but just couldn't get the key hit to drive in a run. Cameron Campbell had 2 of the Eagles' 4 hits with Colby Townley and Alex Rocha collecting the other 2.
