Late in the playoffs? First you have to get to the playoffs 👍 I hear ya, but still do not think playing teams you can’t get within 5 TD’s of is useful. Maybe y’all put North Shore on the schedule for next year with that logic no one will touch you in district. Mag West allowed us to play a competitive team with good coaching and kids which will be more than likely what we will see in district. You play teams that test you not embarrass you.

BH only scored 10 last year and BH only brought back 3 starters than they did. No one thought this would be a blow out either way😂. Could be worse we could have lost by 5 scores from a team that only returned 3 starters with a Soph QB. How embarrassing would that be?

Getting drug up and down the field doesn’t prepare you for anything. Finding teams you can compete with does. Doesn’t matter what your record is once district begins ,but playing teams way over you skill level gets you nowhere

BH travels to Montgomery to take on the Bears after they narrowly lose to 6A New Caney by a score of 34-35. The Eagles got revenge from last years opening loss to Mag West flipping the score from last year 28-18. BH beat the bears last year 42-10 so you would think another blow out, but New Caney also beat them 49-14 last year. BH returns 7/6 while Montgomery returns 7/4 from last year and for reference New Cane returned 4/7 from an undefeated district Champ team! Montgomery is boasting a true duel threat QB that is being touted as one of the best in the Houston area as a Jr. not sure what to expect here, but BH will have to contain the QB and tighten up the secondary to beat the bears. My gut tells me BH by 14, but this could be a good one!

Nope, nope and more nope. CEK returned 3 players a dominated Crosby. Their lines were even smaller but still dominated the line of scrimmage. I watched until Crosby scored on a wide open seem pass the turned off. IMO y’all lose next week and then have to play well to beat Lee. Prove me wrong 😑

Yeah can’t figure out that NC Montgomery game. NC went undefeated last year in their 6 A district and predicted to finish third while Montgomery won 3 games last year and predicted to finish second to last in their 5A Div II district. From what I have read NC coach left and they have a new coach this year , but what a drop off!! Montgomery does have a highly touted QB though that is a true fuel threat QB and 7 did return on their offense, but Dave Campbell didn’t give them any love for that with a poor prediction for the season, might be a good game next week.

Me too👍 we have struggled over the years with coaching that wouldn’t make that adjustment until the half. The starting LB is a stud hope he heals and can come back.

BH gained 358 yards last night 240 ish in the air and 112 ish on the ground. QB completed 81% of his passes and #4 RB gained 91 on the ground with 158 all purpose yards. However we gave up 388 yards .

I think we did pretty good for 1st game. We will keep improving each week and hope to stay healthy. Lines looked good , skill positions looked good an LB’ s did well. Secondary will need to tighten up and we have to learn to close out games. also the RB’s looked good tonight I thing we will have a better running game this year

Porter returned a bunch from last year. Dayton will rebound, but the Spartans are no slouch they played all of our top District teams close last year. Goodluck Dayton this will only make you better

Yeah the Eagles looked pretty good for a first game. 2 turnovers didn’t help, but they can clean that up. The lines looked good and the secondary did get burned some but tightened up through the game. QB picked up where he left off and I like the RB’s both ran hard and didn’t let up. Mag West played with a pair of QB’s and the 2nd one I thought was better, but lost his composure at the end. They also had a decent RB and wideout..all together a pretty good team that will only get better.
