  1. yes, Ozen COULD beat Jones, but that would be a minor upset. Jones is very good. Wheatley will fall to Yates by 15-20 points (105-88). Yates will increase their lead as the game winds down, will the memory of last yr's meltdown SEARED into their minds. They could win by 25-30 even. Yates vs Wheatley will be played at Aldine's Campbell Center (sort of a pre-5A regional venue) WEDNESDAY night 8:00 pm. Ozen, if getting past Jones -- and that is UNlikely -- Yates will beat them by a little less than the Wheatley margin. Of course, games are decided on the court yadda yadda....

....and with Ozen graduating 4 starters and Yates graduating only a couple on the whole squad....

....and Greg Wise has his signature multiple full court presses that APPEAR to look the same until its too late...

  2. "

Then 5a schools like Kingwood start running their razzle dazzle."

Kingwood and razzle dazzle in the same sentence?????? Kingwood runs THE MOST (boring) fundamental** bball system anywhere. The coach punishes razzle dazzle stuff.

**especially DEFENSE and controlling the tempo (truly bball fundamentals). J'Covan Brown never scored a single point against Kwd in the 4th qtr of ANY game PAM ever played against Kwd.

  3. Does Ned have anyone who can slow down the super-quick PG fro NF (Dwayne Wade)? He is the only threat from NF due to the poor coaching. Basically every half court set is Wade soloing/creating on his own.Few screens and lots of drives into the lane (often leading with a lowered shoulder without getting called for a charge). Does Ned have any shot blockers? If no one to stop this, it'll be a long night for Ned. MANY underutilized athletes on NF team.

  4. sorry, thought I named the school. Kingwood Park is basically a JV team (no seniors) with a .500 record. therefore should be a cakewalk for #16 state-ranked Ozen. Only risk is massive overconfidence.

Actually they do have a senior class. This year is there first senior class.

you got some bad info. No seniors. Not a single one in the whole school. Want proof? It's confirmed in the threads in the baseball forum when discussing 19-4A.

  5. Who do you see BH beating out for one of the 4 playoff spots?

NF? (reloading/returning athletes as usual, even if losing top scorer)

Crosby? (very athletic JV replaces very good 3 graduating)

CE King? (whole varsity team returns)

Kingwood Park? (whole varsity team returns)

Galena Park? (Best player is returning but next 2 best graduate)

BH must beat out two of those to make playoffs.

Why won't next year be a repeat of this one?

  6. 1. Kountze

    2. Central

I haven't seen Kountze play this year. Have seen Central play. If this ranking is accurate, K will WALK to the 2A state championship

    bobcat (or anyone else),

what I meant was that if there is a 2A team -- now you imply TWO 2A teams -- that are better than the #15 (TABC) ranked 4A team, then the 2A championship will be a cakewalk. And having seen a half dozen of the TABC-ranked 4A teams (and many 5A teams), Central is appropriately ranked by by the TABC, maybe even a tad low. If you are anywhere near correct, why aren't Kountze and Woodville ranked #1 and #2 by TABC........or any other semi-reliable rankings instead of #6 and #19???

  7. I've seen JB play many a time. I've seen him T'd up many a time..........deserved every one and then some. He makes you want to cry cuz he ain't never gonna get to a major D1 school. Someone said he's not a team player. Wrong, he is when there's someone else on his team who can shoot. He's never been on such a team. I've seen him play at PAM when he was passing it off when he should've been forcing shots more often, because that gave PAM their best chance at winning. He has yet to play at a level where anyone could stop him much less slow him down. If he's not hid own worst enemy, his handlers/whisperers are. I'd call that a toss up. IMO he'll never ever play at a major D1 school. One reason: he cannot read and write. He will never qualify for acceptance to majot D1 school.

I sure hope he see or hear about your post and use it to inspire himself to greater heights towards success. :P

Time's running out, don't you think? This has been an issue for MANY years. What evidence exists that he's changed one iota in all that time?

  8. With CE King's (17pt!) loss to K-Park, BH is now in control of its own destiny.   If they win out, they take the District 19 crown outright.  One loss would put them in tie for the title at worst.  Not sure what happened to CEK, maybe grades or a key injury?  Hard to understand why they lost to K-Park so badly.

A little early for playoff scenarios, but, looking at the playoff brackets, winning district gives BH a much better chance of getting past the 2nd round.  The runner up position would likely have to play Willis in the second round...Willis is probably the strongest 4a team in the greater Houston area.

After KPark beating up on BH pretty badly at BH's home court, perhaps KPark may be peaking at right time?
