Lots of good baseball in the Kingwood area--seniors or not they will be very competitive

several things you can count on every year in Kingwood (first KHS, and now KPark): excellent soccer, swimming, cross country and now, baseball. Little young this yr though.

Stupid is as stupid does. Best part is that the culprits will not be able to keep their mouths shut.

allowed? Not allowed? I keep hearing people say the UIL prohibits tats, but then again I see "sleeves" on many players at basketball tournaments. What's the real UIL rule?

.......if so, how horrible will they be next yr without AJ Dugat? Maybe this is old news to all y'all, but Dayton's record and blowout by a team with zero seniors yestrerday just caught up with me this morning. Comments?

...earlier in the playoffs than they should...for Yates last yr was anything short of a State Championship. Watching Yates last yr multiple times, it was obvious they would miss the tall kid (Baylor signee) MUCH less than you'd expect when a "high" D1 graduates. He was a liability half the time.....OK, MILD exaggeration. 6'10" and he acted like a SG. Treated the paint like a vampire treats holy water. Yates this year has one GLARING weakness: they played NOBODY, and no tough tourneys pre-district. Ozen folk don't think this matters. I do. The candy schedule for Yates is their achilles heel........if they have one.

Yea I forgot about Wheatley. And what are we classifying as good here? Is good going to state? or is good making the Playoffs or what? Ozen is good by any means of the definition but they certainly aren't great. We just don't know yet how good they really are.

Wheatley will finish 2nd place in their district.  Jones will win that district.

I'm a little surprised at the (lack of) pitchers from BH. My recollection is that BH graduated a slew of 90+mph pitchers but had several more in the wings for this year. Is that true?

how does Ang Green measure up to these mentioned above?

1) believe Kpark beat CE King at Taco Bell (Willis tournament) but not sure....maybe 3-5 point victory. Anyone know for sure?

2) CE King's post moved to Atascocita? When? Is she the 6'5" talented-but-not-so-energetic soph for Atascocita?

It's not been all that long ago that Cleveland was not allowed to play UIL football due to their fans getting out of control....

what year? what happened? How long were they "not allowed to play UIL football?"

Also AAW, your statement that only Dayton had a losing record in the bottom half of the bracket was incorrect. Montgomery, CE King and Clear Creek all had losing records entering the tournament. Let's make sure that we have our facts straight.

....I'll chime in here since I was involved in said player's recruiting process.  He played his junior high and 9th grade years in Spring ISD.  In fact, was slated to be the back-up to Nic Wise going into his sophomore year before he moved back to HJ......

please clarify, Nic Wise never played in Spring ISD. Are you referring to the first 6 weeks of school he attended, but never played, during Aug-Labor Day, at Westfield?
