Our QB runs like that... but we have a whole arsenal of offensive players with speed - again what else you got? Yalls QB runs nothing like that. Tyrick runs 4.65 forty. I just read it on a recruiting website. Go back and look at the AJ video against Rosenburg-Terry. Rosenburg Terry had one of the best defenses in the state. SS wins in a squeeker??? Okay yeah we won by 5. Sounds a lot better than yalls win by three over Tivy lastweek. Everett Gilbert did rush for 193 yards in that squeeker. They didnt need there allstate running back, they needed a defense that could contain ss offense. Just a you will wish you had come saturday. Remember what I said earlier. Sulphur Springs gets on top and stays on top. Yeah Evermans qb left for a quarter with a bum ankle but who cant take a snap and hand it off to one of his backs? Not like the everman qb's were calling plays out on the field or anything... Yes everman was winning at the half but ss came out made adjustments and shut everman down in the second half. I'm so happy that Dayton's team is completely healthy. Now you will have no excuse whatsoever Saturday evening when I get back on here and shove the SS victory down your throat!!!

Tragic end for Eight Belles Filly put down after second-place finish By Mark Blaudschun Globe Staff / May 4, 2008 LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In a moment of triumph, tragedy struck suddenly for Eight Belles, the only filly in yesterday's Kentucky Derby, who finished second to Big Brown. more stories like thisAs Big Brown was making history by living up to his reputation as a super horse, Eight Belles broke down after finishing 4 3/4 lengths back. Eight Belles, who was attempting to become the fourth filly to win the Derby, fractured both front ankles, injuries so severe that she was put down. "She didn't have a front leg to stand on to be splinted and hauled off in the ambulance, so she was immediately euthanized," said track veterinarian Larry Bramlage. "Catastrophic injuries are something that we occasionally see in one [ankle] - it's not terribly unheard of. But in all my years of racing I've never seen it happen at the end of the race or during the race." Trainer Larry Jones, whose other filly, Proud Spell, won the Kentucky Oaks Friday, expressed dismay and sadness. "I watched her gallop around the turn," said Jones. "Her ears her up. So we went back toward the barn. We were ecstatic. We had won the Oaks and finished second in the Derby. We thought we just had a remarkable weekend." Jones said his first indication that there might be a problem came when he saw jockey Kent Desormeaux, who had ridden Big Brown. "He was kind of solemn, which I thought was kind of odd for someone who had just won the Derby," said Jones. "Then I heard that a horse broke down, but I thought it was one of the horses who had finished back in the pack, and then I saw my guy [Eight Belles jockey Gabriel Saez] riding a pony and I said, 'What's up,' and he said, 'Mr. Larry, they put her down.' " Saez also had no idea that anything was wrong until the moment Eight Belles went down. "After we passed the wire, I stood up," he said. "She started galloping funny and I tried to pull her up, but she went down." Jones, trying to keep his emotions in check, said, "She had just run the race of her life. She was so calm in the paddock and she had run the race of her life. If she had been under any stress, I would have second-guessed myself [about entering her in the Derby]. "It's just one of those things, it's unexplainable. There are reasons for things happening, but I see no reason for this. But she was never in any pain. It was something that just had to be done. Talking about Ponies... If you don't watch out we will let our 8th graders sub in and they will still score on your defense. Check out what our 8th graders can do... Seems that we do a good job of it too. We are very humble people though. Yes we have a great group of atheletes this year as well as one of the greatest coaching staffs that has ever come through this school. Everything has come together for sulphur springs this year. Team chemistry is the biggest thing for SS this year. Not one person wins games for SS this year. We have a great QB, RB multiple Recievers and a defense that steps up to the challenge when they have to. Yes those young men have given up some points this year but for 13 of their 15 games they did what was asked of them, given up fewer points than the team on the otherside of the ball. Thats all thats asked of those guys... They are going to give up some points, they will give up some points to you Dayton, no doubt about that, but the things to keep in mind is they will give up fewer points than that Dayton D will... Good Luck Ponies...

I don't recall hearing about them as a dominant 4a team for the past decade or two... congrats yall have had a good couple of years. Yall are prime for a fall... Dayton is in the state championship game. They are a very good team with great coaches and fans. I hope to see yall fall hard and fast...
