not quit correct but close! Yes they did come in to Mustang Stadium and might not have had more points on the score board at the end of the game, but was far from being dealt with and definently was not "sent" home. They did leave town with their heads held high and very proud of how they played. They did leave town with the Mustang faithful left to come up with excuses sorry COOP reasons from everything to fumbles, to penalties, to the age of the players. I realize that WOS did get the win and thats really all that matters. I also know that when you win you dont need to make excuses, but if a 2a school that everyone expected you to beat by at least 30 comes into your home stadium and stands toe to toe with you and takes you to overtime, then you are only left with one of two things to do! Give the Wildcats credit for their play keeping them off balance causing them to make mistakes and excuting when they needed too! or come up with "reasons" why the mustangs "allowed" this to happen because everyone knows that Kirbyville could not do this on their own. Which everyone helps you sleep at night works for me! I realize this is a sin to say this about Hooks but there is two reasons I havent heard tossed around yet! unprepared and outcoached! the reason you havent heard these is because they didnt happen! i think they were prepared but didnt execute. alot (not all)of the poor execution had to do with kirbyvilles d being on the field. whether you want to believe it or not wos played one of the worst games theyve played in quite a while, not an excuse but a fact and i believe kville had a little to do with that. kville however played well and i think they could go very far. i just hope for the mustangs sake they figure out what needs to be fixed and start fixing it.

Could not have been the oc fault he's gone. i always said crouch wasnt the problem! the players need to execute whatever play is called and were not doing that consistantly. im ready for this magical playbook to open that everyone thought would appear once crouch was gone.

Speaking of the PA announcer.The "fabric on the field" saying is really getting on my nerves. : since were venting about random things, was that wax paper,wrapping paper,freezer paper,or butcher paper the cats ran through? that loud a$$ horn was awesome though! you guys mustve opted for a horn and not a run through.

who said we dominated? not me! we did what it took to win the game and had you been there you'd seen that we shot ourselves in the foot on NUMEROUS occasions! kirbyville is a very good team and they played their butts off last night and should make a great playoff run but in no way do i feel we got lucky. im curious, which team do you follow?

ive never understood why we dont work more on kicking at the jv level instead of going for two every time. i think its unfair to the kicker that he starts learning fg's and extra points when they reach varsity, unless you work with them outside of practice.

wow! i have to say this is the first time i have ever seen a band director being used as the scapegoat for a HORRIBLE kicking game. isnt this band director new, if so what is the excuse for our kicking game being HORRIBLE the following 3-5 years? badly missing a fg from the 8 yard line to win the game???? c'mon! we need a reliable,consistant kicker as the season goes on! eventually its gonna come down to an extra point or fg for a big win and i hope when that time comes we can answer the call.

WO-S is 3-0 Kirbyville is 1-2 You're totally right...we are 1-2..against really tough "3A"Teams and I think WOS played a great game, however, by all the posts I've read and how underrated everyone from WOS thought Kville was, Kville was by far the better team tonight! Oh well we will move on and play Liberty next week, hopefully come out with the win over there and head into district with our heads held high! We played tough against ya'll tonight and they deserve to be lifted up! please explain this statement! if you guys were FAR better then why didnt you win with ease? heck, why didnt you win period?

congrats kville you guys played an awesome game!!! very gutsy call at the end! great job chaingang! you guys played balls to the wall all night! WHEN WILL WE LEARN THAT HAVING A DECENT KICKING GAME IS VERY,VERY IMPORTANT! OUR KICKING WAS HORRIBLE!!!! WE MISSED A FG TO WIN THE GAME FROM THE 8 YARD LINE! WE HAD A PUNT OF MAYBE 2 YARDS THAT WAS CAUGHT ON A LINE BY KVILLE AND ENDED UP IN A TD! IT SEEMS WE SHOULD BE GETTING BETTER AFTER EACH WEEK NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! why are we throwing bombs when we only need 5 or 6 yards for the first??? were running into each other on handoffs! we need to use our talent and speed and get the ball in the hands of our playmakers! dont know what you got until its gone! :'( :'( also, if the youngsters on varsity arent cutting it the jv boys are doing a nice job and should get some consideration!

I never have agreed with the "get an easy win for confidence" thing. I mean, do you think the kids don't know the teams they played weren't very good when they win? On the flip side, do you not think it helps the losing team when they play a team they know is good, close? I think it can have a reverse effect many times because the 2-0 team really don't know how good they are, but the 0-2 team has a good idea because they have played good teams. lol when you're 2-0 that usually means you're doing something right... or youre playing subpar,weak opponents.... beat a mediocre team and you might get some respect. jmo

Now If I get on here and say everyone talk about how good WOS is and they never made it to state since dropping classification, then I would have to argue with Mustang fans. I never said Kirbyville was going to beat anybody down, now that you brung this stupudity on here I hope Kirbyville win BIG!!! absolutely will not happen! i find it funny how week in and week out the fans get on here and talk about how wos hasnt played anyone like them yet,how ready they are because they practice hard, and its their year to win.... they fail to realize wos is preparing just as hard if not harder than they are and arent looking past anyone. there will be TWO teams on that field friday and i have a strong feeling BOTH will be well prepared for the other.
