isnt scoring on a fumble recovery still part of the game of football????? : yes it is, but it doesn't count in scrimmages. ;D i'm gonna go out on a limb and say the scrimmage should be pretty even if vidor keeps the ball off the turf. i just hope both teams come thru it with minimal injuries. it should be a pretty physical scrimmage. i think the coaches for both teams know they're in for a tough scrimmage. thats odd.... after it happened we had 6 more points on the scoreboard. -

We suppose, if nothing else, it'll bring some street cred to ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." UFC superstar and hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell will join 15 other celebrities on the upcoming ninth season of the reality-show competition, which pairs each celebrity with a professional dancer. Liddell, perhaps not surprisingly, is the first mixed-martial-arts fighter to appear on the highly rated dance program, which debuted in the U.S. in 2005. "I want to win," the 39-year-old Liddell told UFC.com. "I don't like losing in anything, so I'll work as hard as they'll let me." Three other athletes will join Liddell this season: former NFL player Michael Irvin, Olympic gold-medalist swimmer Natalie Coughlin and professional snowboarder Louie Vito. The rest of the cast includes singer Aaron Carter, "Iron Chef America" host Mark Dacascos, politician Tom DeLay, singer Macy Gray, actor Ashley Hamilton, actress Melissa Joan Hart, model Kathy Ireland, model Joanna Krupa, actress Debi Mazar, singer Mya, reality star Kelly Osbourne and entertainer Donny Osmond. Liddell last fought in April, when he suffered a knockout loss to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 97 in Montreal. It was Liddell's fourth loss in five fights, and his third via knockout during that span. After the fight, UFC president Dana White said the fighter would enter retirement. But Liddell and his trainer, John Hackleman, have repeatedly stated they haven't shut the door on the fighter's career, and earlier this month at UFC 101 Q&A session with fans, White said he didn't want Liddell fighting again but that he wouldn't stop him if he wants to make a return to the octagon. Liddell, though, recently said he wouldn't return any sooner than next year, which opened the door for the "Dancing with the Stars" stint. And before the harassment begins, keep in mind that many notable athletes have appeared on the show, including NFL legends Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice; NBA Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler; Olympians Apolo Anton Ohno, Shawn Johnson, and Maurice Greene; and former boxing champions Evander Holyfield and Laila Ali. Liddell said the show producers had contacted him previously about appearing on the show. "They asked a couple different times, but it would be too much time to take off from training for fights," Liddell stated. "Now I don’t have any fights coming up and I'm not training, so it's something to do." Liddell also hopes to change the public perception of MMA fighters. "I'm going to go out, be myself and show what kind of people we do have in this sport," he stated. "I'm sure the reaction will be mixed (among fight fans). My friends are going to be excited, and I'll never hear the end of it because they'll make fun of me, but it should be fun and I think everyone will like it." The new season of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres Monday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

I think he did that. I think he said job #1 is focusing on the play and not what the officials are doing. I didn't take his post as a complaint about officials but that some of his teammates were doing too much crying about them instead of getting after it on the field. I think he confirmed that a little later. I agree with you Grad. Buckin was not making excuses. He was stating that he thought his teams attitudes needed adjusting. Instead of complaining about the refs, they should have been focusing on playing better and doing their job. I stood on the sidelines last night and got an up close view of the Dayton team losing their cool at the end when things got tight. It definetly affected how they played there late in the game. I also witnessed Buckin chew his team out a time or two trying to get them back focused on playing the game instead of complaining. You can tell that Buckin (#45) is a leader on that team because they settled down after he voiced his concern. Buckin, you are a great player and it showed last night. I saw several of the WOS coaches congratulate you last night. Even heard Toby tell you they just couldn't block you at all last night. You played a very good game. It was good meeting you last night. Good luck the rest of the season. I think Mr. Hill will be on our post season team. no insult intended on my end just an observation.... i agree, #45 was a beast! -

let me make sure i get this straight, mir 12-4, lesnar 4-1, carwin 11-0 ,and oldture 16-9 are the "best" fights out there for fedor 30-1, and rogers 10-0 ,overeem 29-11 , yvel 36-13, monson 31-8, and barnett 24-5 are all d-bags? these are the people you look down on???? i guess when someone signs with the ufc they become 50% better than they were before they signed the contract. : oh, you might want to check minowas record and see who hes fought and defeated. he has 80 total mma fights with a record of 42-30.....he will fight ANYONE. thats not a fighter i would bad mouth.... youre showing your noob colors. also, i have to say you totally got me and made your point with the "NOT" at the end!
-
is this the same torres that wants to box mayweather????? see, this is what happens when youre looking past your present opponent and focus on a fight that will never happen. keep your trap shut and train for the fight thats in front of you and dont concern yourself with mayweather otherwise you might get ktfo again!

since you opened the can........silva has been dominate since he joined the UFC but fedor has been dominate before that and still is! fedor has fought the worlds best and he is undefeated in MMA. The "loss" to TK was a joke and he proved that in the rematch. Silva is yet to fight the very best. He looks like a world beater against the likes of Franklin, Leben and Griffin but in the big picture those guys are nowhere near the top of the world rankings. Henderson is really the only top fighter that he's fought in the UFC and I don't think he was really prepared for the fight. Fedor beat a string of ex UFC champs and the very best that Pride could throw at him. When Silva's record even remotely resembles Fedors then maybe we can revisit this. also, fedor has no legitimate losses Anderson has what 3 or 4. fedor might not be fighting in two weight classes but has beaten several top HW's who out weigh him by 20, 30,100 Lbs or more. fedor remains unbeaten and continues to be possibly the P4P best fighter on the planet and top hw of all time. maybe if fedor beats hardonk, kongo, herring again, and kimbo you would respect him more. ;D
