I wondered why LU was playing a conference series mid-weel, but now realize the SLC is divided into 2 division and these games aren't "conference games" just a mid-week hook up before the Cards get back to it this weekend @ SFA. The expanded SLC threw me for a loop.

Great game to watch, despite not making it back to Beaumont until 1:20 last night, it was worth the trip. The Owl offense is coming around finally, just couldn't get it done last night. They start CUSA play @USM Friday. The Aggies are for real this year no doubt about it. They love to run. Looks like we could see 3 Regionals in the State of Texas this year come June.

The Horns managed a sweep winning Sunday's finale 8-3 and now lead the Ags and Tech by 1 game in the Big XII standings.

With 3 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th to overcome a 9-5 defecit.

The Aggies are in Houston tomorrow. Possibly the best baseball match-up of the day nationally.

Quality win for the Horn. Winthrop is a good team. It's a shame to see Texas playing so well lately.

Ok, requires release from HC. That makes more sense. I knew people transferred from D-1 to D-1, but didn't know the details that were involved.

In college baseball you don't lose eligibility if you transfer because of scholarship limits. Most kids only receive partial scholarships, not a full ride like basketball, so I think they can leave if they want to go somewhere else to play, or be closer to home, etc. Someone else feel free to correct me if I am misreading it.

Aggies at Reckling next Tuesday 3/20/07 to take on Rice. Should be HUGE.

He got in foul trouble and played sparingly. Made a couple of clutch free throws late, but I don't think he is hurt. Sanders went down in the last couple of seconds, but he tipped the final desperation pass, so I think all are ok. Need a big crowd tomorrow at 6.

Bring the sticks and the Cards could find themselves on the right side of a mild upset tonight over on Cullen Blvd. The Cougar pitching staff is banged up and this could be a prime time for the Cards to steal one. Brian Needham-LU-(1-0 3.86) vs. Donnie Joseph-UH-(0-0 8.59). UH is 6-3 against the SLC 7-8 overall and just dropped 2 of 3 to NSU in Houston last weekend. A very winnable game for the Cards.

After opening at Minute Maid, Vandy has been beating up on Weak Sisters of the Poor. They should not lose until SEC play begins. Never the less, its always nice to see a smaller school at the top.

Maybe that what I was thinking. I know some games have been called after 5, but I guess it is conference game that are usually "resumed"

Shouldn't they postpone and resume this afternoon? When I left Lemoyne was batting in the 6th with the bases loaded, and I think no outs. Colin Delome and misjudged a flyball that allowed a run to score. Sounds like Lemoyne got hosed.

She was a sub on the Elite 8 team from back in the day. I like the choice.

Lemoyne was an NCAA Tournament team in 2003 and 2004, so this could be a pretty decent series.

The rebounding Owls are in Huntsville tonight for a revenge match against the Bearkats. SHSU beat Rice 9-8 there last season. Ty Cobb....your boys have me nervous....we'll they be ready tonight?

Channel 6 said last night the Lamar/Creighton game had been bumped to noon because of weather. It is posted also at www.ncaa-baseball.com. All those time are EST.

I know a lot of the MC Babe Ruth guys are at McNeese. Anyone have anything to add on this?
