[/quote] Let's look at the real truth here.  Over the last 15 years the majority the 5A State Championship teams have come from moderate to high income areas of the State, with very large schools, and 50% or more of the student body did not come from a Ghetto!!!  The only school that come close to PA's socio-econmical, violence, and drop out status is Northshore and it is not even close to the distress in PA.  Fact is these areas are breeding gounds for talent, but the are also breeding grounds for failure!!!  You deal with so much more than football in these areas.  And it is a direct effect on performance on the field.

[/quote] Coach Harrison is WWWWAAAAYYY better than that than Dodge would EVER be!!!  Go to a basketball game and you will see all the football players sitting together cheering.  That is Kenny.... Before him, the team was always at odds.  He relates to the players!!!!

I said 2.3 years because he came in the Early Spring (before basketball season ended) and had enough time to initiate his game plane.  I should have said this is his second team to coach and the year is not over... A strong playoff run is STILL a possibility.  The biggest and only coaching issue I have seen with Coach Harrison all year is the fact that he falls in love with the pass and abandons the running game at times. That is something he can correct over time.   He made halftime adjustments against NS and almost won the game.  But I guess that doesnt count??? They could not move the ball in the first half and came out with a different game plan and attitude after the half and almost won it!   Brook could have had much better games against NS and Katy if it wasnt for the plethera of penalties to start the games!!! Katy and NS took advantage of them PAM did not.  Honestly what i saw from PAM players was a belief that the game was won because of the Brook blowout by NS. What Kenny has done: Put Memorial in the playoffs Built a family mentality the players (east & west side) Built a positive demeanor Put athletes in a position to best expose their talent. These are the Best defense Memorial has ever had Incorporated the pass into a traditionally running school while still putting up BIG rushing #’s BEAT NS Gotten better from year 1 to 2

[/quote] This is his third year, and what have you done before him?????  Exactly!!!!!!!!! The last time PA had a GREAT team was TJ in the 80s!!!  Jamal carried his team (3 rounds deep)! And it was more talented than any of Kenny's team. The James Johnson/ Calvin Roberst team was the most talented in Memorial history but went no where!!  The Shanderrick Charles' team were a tough 4A out!!!  He was dynamic, but they didnt go deep in 4A!  Outside of Jamal's one year 3 round run, where has PA went!!! I will answer that for you, "To State in BASKETBALL!"  Be realistic! Is there a State team in PA?  Probably not yet (heck there hasn't been one the last 3 decades), but in three years this team has truly grown into a 5A competitor!! (without a Jamal Charles in sight!!!!!)  I guess the last 3 decades are all Kenny's fault???

20-4A has pretty much dominated 19-4A in the bidistrict round for the past decade (starting with the induction of Central & Ozen)! Dayton has been the one mainstay that has posed a problem.  When Dayton was in 20-4A it was even more ugly for 19-4A.  You guys should thank Dayton constantly for keeping the district relevant!!!!!!!!  :-\ Eventhough 20-4A is weak this year, the dominance will continue!!!

I feel ya wanting to voice an opinion and I do believe this forum gets a little too high strung on moderating comments, but truth be told Memorial was never on NS level before Kenny.  He has beat them and has pushed them hard this year.  One bad game against WB and you will replace him?  Who before him had a showing like that at Memorial?  There is no Jamal Charles on this team so don't go there!!! Its foolish to call for his head at this point, especially when he is performing well!!!!! The team has taken the next step every year he has been there and will continue to get better.  His biggest issue currently is that at times he forgets about the run!!!  The execution was horrible at the WB game and some of that is on the kids.... Where is all the unbeaten talk?  There was no Kenny bashing when he was unbeaten???? Or with the one TD loss to NS!!!!!
