  1. You have tbe kidding me dude... Its 2009, racism is dead! I have no problem with him being WHITE.. I am still a BIG Bird fan! Hornaseck and Stockton too!(tough guys) But you white folk always looking for reverse racism? My problem with Dirk is the same problem yall have with Tmac!!! He is soft! 7' big man that can only shoot, CAN'T PLAY DEFENSE, and will never win the big one!!!... Same problem nash has!
  2. Check your records lil dude... TMAC played ALL those games... Yao was out!
  3. You cannot measure with talent and stats, what the Rockets are plying with.
  4. Too hard... I would say the team with Kobe but it has no real PG... The same people on both teams makes this stupid! Team A Paul Wade Lebron Dirk Howard Team B Billups Kobe Carmlo KG Ming Much Better Post!
  5. Another Texas pro basketball team named Mavericks? What, did all the imagination in SE Texas run out? Go back and reinstate Roughnecks" for Pete's sake. Or maybe the SE Texas "Nutria." Or the Beaumont "Beasts", the Beaumont "Breakers", or the Beaumont "Boondockers." Enough already with the Mavericks. Yeah teh BMT Cattle!
  6. His injured but was unhealthy this yera!!!! A healthy Tmac is what led them to a 22 game win streak just one year before!
  7. OK, I watched Charles and Michaels throughout High school... I am a Jag been when you have a rare talent in the area you must attend their games.... To start these two guys are the cream of the crop. I really like Michaels, and he is a physical specimen.... BUT... to watch Jamal run was a thing of beauty. What is funny is that most forget how hard he ran in high school because of his finesse style in college. Jamal would run over high school kids. His junior year he averaged above 250 per game in the playoffs. Here are a few high school clips of Jamal in case you all forgot! [Hidden Content] James Johnson was mentioned earlier... Pure beast! If he wasn't in that first MHS class he would have been even better... His junior year at TJ was amazing, but if Shanderrick Charles came out in 2000 like I think he did he was even better!!!! Now that was Barry Sanders... He had his career end early at SMU because of a stress fracture in his back after averaging 225 in the first three games of the season. Then I would have to give AJ Dugat the go, but he wasn't a fulltime tailback! Mosely was the man and Hussey is really good. Williams form brook was a good change of speed back.... Jamal Charles - MHS C Michaels - WB Shanderrick Charles - LHS Mosley - NHS Dugat (Not a full time TB) - DHS J Johnson - TJHS/MHS Hussey - LumHS Feacher - CHS Franks (not full time HB) - WOS Grogan - NHS
  8. I know you guys have issues with T-Mac but this team would be WAY BETTER with him... I mean did you guys really expect him to lead a team out the first round with 6'5" Chuck Hayes starting at PF, or with no bench, or the year they surrounded him with 6'1 guards, and he was at SF? To carry on further he was supposed to take the old man team of softy Juan Howard, David Wesly, and Jim Jackson starting? This is the first year that the TEAM was good enough to get out the first round. With a healthy T-Mac and Yao Ming Houston wins a championship this year! But the real question is will either ever be healthy?
  9. This is what I expected game four but I am glad the Rockets played so well. Last night that wasn't the case. They got away from moving the ball and it cost them big time. We need to pass better and not try to go one-on-one sooo much!
  10. But these guys on this Strake Team are Ivy Leaguers... And Northwestern is known for its academic excellence. When Strake starters to put out players with no form of further education we will ask questions then. Private schools in Texas have to take the TAKS!!! However, they don't teach the TAKS like public schools. They actually have a curriculum. If you teach a child fundamentals they can apply it to the test. When I was in school I learned fundamentals and applied them to the TAAS.... Now these kids are taught how to take the TAAS test for 85% (I pulled this figure out my butt, its probably higher) of the school year! But I will get off my soapbox!
  11. You know what... my Bad... Stoudemire above Dirk too... He is more like top fifteen then top five. Stoudemire is WEAK on D and has lost a step since the injury. The more I think about it I want to move Dirk around 20! James Bryant Wade Duncan Howard Paul Pierce Williams Anthony Ming Roy Parker Stoudemire Garnett Billups Bosh Igudola Granger Boozer Rip Devin Harris K. Martin R. Jefferson Al Jefferson Steve Nash DIRK I feel much better about this list. Artest, Rondo, and Aldridge starting to give him a run for his money too! McGrady is still better than Dirk!
  12. Dirk is not top 5 and he is reaching for top ten We all knoew the top three. But all of you forget just who Tim Duncan is.... I would count on him to lead me to a big win before I even look Howards way! And you all forget just who Paul Piece is! James Bryant Wade Duncan Howard Paul Pierce Williams Anthony Ming Roy Parker DIRK Yeah about 13 is right! Igudola, Granger, R. Jefferson, Al Jefferson, Boozer, Billups, Kevin Martin, Devin Harris, Chris Bosh, and Rip could all push him for that spot!
  13. Perk putting that weight on him!
  14. You can't teach genetics. The 5;'8" player is so skilled because he had tpo push all of his career to overcome his height deficiency. In college tall players can perfect their skills but short players wont grow 4"! That one team may not have had guys that can handle him but the coach knew that the guards in his league were just as skilled and taller. He woill have trouble defending and scoring on tallers gaurd with GOOD skills even though his were GREAT!
  15. It doesn't matter, you can try and stock pile all the talent you want at a private school, but those students still have to perform in the classroom to stay in the school... Did you see all these kids are going to top notch colleges? These are smart kids that happen to play sports WELL! It is hard recruiting in any area when you expect kids to perform in class. I like the private school's involvement, Texas is one of the few states still behind... Florida, Louisiana, East Coast, and Cali already allows this in there sports. I would have an issue with prep schools but private school being allowed in UIL are fine with me.
  16. I saw Bird and Jordan at the Summit, caught Magic in Denver while I was up there skiing. dang short you've seen almost everyone there is to see I was lucky I guess... I could go on but it will get ridiculous... You know I also saw Von Wafer at Heritage Christian... He was said to be really good and ranked way up there by all scouts... nHe was stiff back then too and he did not impress me with his play! n I am glad he is playing well in Houston.
  17. In person my list is below (since I never been to a pro basketball game). HS = Highschool, Col = college Lebron James HS in Clear Lake AAU Tourney... WOW Kevin Durant Col in a game against LSU Carmelo ANthony HS in the Acedemy National Invitation Hassan Adams HS in the Acedemy National Invitation Amare Stoudemire HS in an AAU Tourney TJ Ford HS a lot of games Big Baby Davis Col agaisnt TX Hassan Adams HS in the Acedemy National Invitation Trevor Ariza HS in the Acedemy National Invitation Danial Ewing HS in a lot of games Sheldon Wiliams HS in the Acedemy National Invitation Kelin Lucas Col against Texas Ivan McFarlin HS a lot of games Stevie Jackson HS right there in PA Damion Sweet HS right there in BMT Brian Boddicker HS tear a whole in Central at the State Tourny Chris Bosh HS get loose on Ozen in the State Tourney Kendrick Perkins HS a lot of games Tommy Mason-Griffin HS a lot of games Parish Corner HS a lot of games Kris Klotz HS in State Tourney Brandon Jennings HS IN HOUYSTON VS THE nATION tOURNY Carlos HurtHS -wow this kid I thought would make the NBA... First team all state TX and Kentucky State player of the year after one year there Ndubi Ebi HS AAU Tournys Josh Shipp AAU Toiurnys Cedrick Hensley HS Heritage Christian guard I thought would be in the NBA once scored 101 in a highschool game Tack Minor HS wasted talent here OK I quit but I have seen some great High School basketball!
  18. Paul defends lanes well, few of his steals come from picking a player off the dribble! Rondo is a better on ball defender than Paul. For example the two top scoring PGs (Parker & A. Miller) average 24 on Paul and average around 16 on Rondo... Even vets. like Billups average 10 ppg on Rondo and 16 ppg on Paul! That has some to do with the team defense but you get my drift!!! Rondo is #5 on the steals list.
  19. He is 6'1" but he has a freakish wingspan of 6'7" and is a super athlete... I would stll take Williams and Paul over him but he is a better defender than Paul right now!
  20. That is what I am seeing... It has been way too one sided... Artest would be suspended reall quick... Those touch foul Yao has been getting are so wrong.. Two Laker hard fouls were not even called... Sasha spit Battier's head and Kobe bowed Artest near his head!!! That is not tough at all!
  21. Is Rajon Rondo the new Highlander? Is he quickening, ascending? Is he trying to put his name up there with the Chris Pauls and Deron Williams of the NBA? He is still not a great shooter but he is one heck of a PG! This kid is four tenths of a rebound away from averaging a playoff triple double. If you round up he is already doing so… Is he? Or Will he be a great PG?
  22. Maybe it is just me... But everyone as convicted the Lakers for being too soft... So they try to get physical... But it looks more like thuggish cheap shots???? It is one thing to play a guy chest-to-chest with excessive hand checking and its another thing to throw elbows... NEWS FLASH LA, "PHYSICAL DOESN'T MEAN PLAY DIRTY!"
  23. I can gaurentee that Yao won't get thos cheap fouls in Houston.. He WILL play 40 minutes and that spells trouble for LA... I must admit I did not believe that these games would be so close, but I am proud and glad Houston is proving me wrong!
  24. It was hilarious!!!! But it was unnecessary and will hurt his team in these playoffs...
