Yes he is that good!!! Vision, handles, shooting, bbal knowledge and competitive edge... All that is required to be a great player. But he also has a bad attitude and makes bad life decisions, which is all that is required to damage his career. And this thread is not bashing it is stating the truth. No one said anything about the kid or bashed him... Everyone that has replied has only said it was a shame.

No coach will allow his incoming player to play a pick-up game in aa AAU tournament where J. Brown would have to show a birth certificate to show that he is under 17!!!!!! :

Reshard Lewis SETX Allstars bowed out in the second round of tournament play to the Louisiana SAelect. The Allstars finished the weekend with a 3-2 record and played great ball!

From what I was told yesterday, there are several teams from Houston coming. I don't know their names. What happened at this tournament? I have not heard if it was successful?

It is one thing for a coach to evaluate a kid for his ability and character, but media has taken these kids and broke them down like they are already in the NBA. Alot of things these kids are accused of they are exonerated of and it would never be public news. But now a kid is subject to the Micheal Vick rule. They are put out in the media before an issue is resolved (legal or illegal) and they are guilty until proven innocent because of media exposure, ie Tyreke Evans, Lebron James (Hummer)!!!

College recruitment of High School players have always been a big deal but in todays world it blown way out of porportion (see Tyreke Evans link below). These kids lifes are put on the public market as if they were adults. They are guaged not just by the schools but by the media, before they turn 18. Every mistake as well as every good thing they do is magnified and studied just because they are gifted athletes. They are put in the media like a savory steak ready to be eatin' alive. Is this right? These kids are not being paid, not professional athletes, they are kids. The pressure on their lives is so great that it could be harmful. Professional adult entertainers have had mental breakdowns do to such exposure of their lives, ie Britney Spears, Bobby Brown, etc. I believe this is way too much and should be policed in a way by the goverment. If he returns hands down Texas is number one preseason. But I don't think they will fall as hard as many think if he leaves. Barns has been grooming Mason to be his PG and I think Texas would use a bigger line-up which would help against bigger teams like Memphis was. The line would be Pittman Atchley James Abrams Mason or Atchley Johnson James Abrams Mason

Becasue of his hight he will go from 10 - 20!!!! That is really good for him. This is a strong class and next years class is supposed to be severly weaker. He could be a top five next year... i am a fan so I would love him to stay but he is guarenteed top 20 I say go before you wind up hurt!

You can't trust TSU with money no longer than you can trust a crack head with a key to your house. There is too many issues at that school to even trust them with a young persons education. I know when opportunity knocks there is a want to open the door, but it is best to only open that door if its not a robber dressed like a banker on the other side. TSU is very unstable and there is no way I take a HANDSHAKE agreement from them!

If the montagne is availiable Beaumont could support it. It should be like the Louisiana / Texas game in football. The best seniors that have not already locked-up offers. Publicity and attendance will be the issues. It cannot be held around march madness it will need to be a mid-April event and Kingwood does own that time period but they are all underclass recruits!!!!!! This will be an event for coaches looking for a last recruit for their programs!
