1. \ Please! He is a freshman playing in his fifth game... Been away from action for almost a year... He will get better SOON with PT!
 2. They have the big 12 posted as the fourth best Conference... ACC Pac 10 Big East Big 12 SEC Big 10 But I don't believe in the Big East, Pac 10 or SEC this year
 3. Oh and by the way... Dayton is boo boo.. Love the football but the Dugat kid is at Baylor.... Not still in high school!
 4. Ozen by 15 pts... They walk away with district!
 5. Third place in district is up for grabs.. that's why Vidor was never a underdog to LCM, Ned, or anyone else... But Ozen and Central are number 1 & 2 in this district and Vidor fans should expect a lose Friday... Show up and play Vidor kids and show you belong... Jags by 10... We don't know how to blow teams out YET!
 6. DickieV your are hilarious... I like getting you all worked up ;D... On the Yates vs. Ozen thread i said "OZEN WOULD WIN" and we still fussed with me. You are good for this board but you are VERY bias too. You are like I was when I was at Central... As i have gotten older I am more subjective now... You might want to broaden your horizons... You chose coaching as a profession and I did not... But I know basketball, too... ALOT about basketball. So you shouldn't try and force your views but it is good to have a strong stance... If you accept (not agree) others views more you wouldn't get so much flack from everyone. Let's talk BBall when ever you are ready and I will show you!
 7. Please!! We all know Boutte is a GREAT coach and runs a GREAT program. Beaumont schools (WB and CHS) were competitive before he came but he took Ozen to another level. The best kids in town do tend to gravitate towards Ozen but that is a mark of a coach... Anybody in their right minds would gravitate to a winning program. I believe that Ozen's coaching help develop the kid to catch the NBA's eye and spark his work ethic and Basketball knowledge... but the NBA has taught him to garnish every inch of talent he has and has help him become NBA ready... This is the age of POTENTIAL not skill... and that is what he was drafted on... There are 7' kids in college that will never see the NBA... He is 6'10" and put in a position to show his POTENTIAL in high school and it got him into the NBA.
 8. Central # 12 and Ozen # 18 in state... So both girl teams are ranked in th etop 20 according to tabchoops.com
 9. This is pretty cool having two girl state ranked teams in Beaumont. Central #12 and Ozen # 17are strong and looking for some Playoff success with only f0ur teams from this region in the top twenty. Especially prouyd of my lady Jags... They are balling and have only lost to 5A-#10 College Park twice, 4A-#4 Dunbar and 4A-#2 Waco Midway and a above .500 big school 5A Katy Taylor. #3 dickinson and #16 Bay City are the only other 4A girls teams rank in this region. I feel good about their chances... Somebaody needs to give these girls props so why not me.. How do you all feel about these Beaumont Guls!?
 10. Its hard to win a game when you have to fight back all night!
 11. Good Job Jags... Might be the best season I have seen in a while.. The early losses were do to youth, now they look strong. Watching the Jags now and when they played a Brook team with all the football boys still in the play offs is like night and day. They havge grown quickly... Coaching staff deserves the credit win you win with a young team... Go Jags!
 12. I told yall that Brook had a good chance to win district at the beginning of the season... That Kingwood game was a mystery... They will take them next time... If they play up to there potential that will be the only loss on their district record.
 13. Well Jamal has witness injury totally destroying a career personally...  His Older brother, Shanderrick, was on track to re-write every record at SMU before a neck injury.  So the kid is cautious of career ending injuries and I think he is making the choice based on those fears.  In some mock drafts they have Jamal as a top 5 back...  rated higher than Slaton, Jones and Heart
 14.
Got two words...ZONE DEFENSE.  Coach English will pick apart any man defense.  I've seen his offense ran to perfection when he was at Vidor.  If we play the way we suposed to, we hopefully will win by 15+
I hope they don't shoot us out of the ZONE DEFENSE like Vidor use to!
 15.
You know what is amazing to me that all Shorttexas1 and bmtsoulja always are critical of the coach.  you never say anything about the kids.  if you were watching the game and I was there you would have known that the kids just did not have any intenisty last night.  Did not have anything to do with the coaching.  They did not box out they let them have second shots and allowed them to penatrate to the basket and made stupid plays down the stretch.  I think that coach Rice is a hella of a coach considering the talent that he has had over his tenure at central.  I have a question for both of you.  have either of you ever played any sports or have you ever coached any sports.  Madden and NBA live don't count!!!!!!
Below is my post from the Ozen game...  Where on here did you see me rag the coach?  Where did I not put responsability on the kids?  I have questioned times when he argued with parents during games and I have questions times when he went to half court ball whe the full court running game was working.  Especially against Ozen which has always had the bigger team.  But I give kudos where Kudos are due.  I do believe that early in his career he had issues with his coaching sceme because there were some good teams and talent at Central...  I actually believe he has grown tremedously and has had a great season.  Get your facts straight before you call me out! About playing or coaching... No I did not play organized bball past middle shool because of my height and lack of vertical explosiveness, so I stuck to football in highschool before I went on to let academics take over.  Wouldn't you know, for all the knowledge that I possessed there were just kids that were flat out better than me physically.  But boy did I ever study the game to try to even the playing field for myself because of the lack of those berth right gifts...  D@mn genetics is a B!#ch!  But i did coach on the AAU circuit for 3 years under a pretty knowledgeable individual and two of those years I had the 14 and under group alone!  I had a 26 - 12 season and a 19 - 10 (didn't have the funds for a complete summer) season. best coached Calvin Rice game I have ever seen.  good job coach. gulley is a man.  central kids lost this game with missed 4th quarter shots.  in the third with w. jefferson out of the game with foul trouble gulley was unstoppable on the block but the jags went away from that. that was the bad part of the game for central. the panthers weren't scoring and neither were my jags.  jefferson made all the difference n the fourth and ozen won.  jefferson is world class athelete. ran down 4 loose balls pass guards.. great speed for a big..
Indefinite!!! His father is at every game but doesn't feel the need to discipline him...  Maybe because his father never had the skills or the athleticism his son has... and he is just as caught up in the hype as hiss soon is!!! Brown's older brother seems to be far apart in attitude than his younger brother so it may be in the genes. I see a lot of AAU games in Texas, especially in the Houston area. The majority of kids with attitude problems have parents who are not active in their kid's social activities. I'm really surprised to hear his dad watches him play. If it was my sons, I'd beat their azz&^*es and explain to CPS later. = Child Protective Services

I heard the funniest thing last night...  Someone that was a Memorial fan said the to worst people in their respective sports are JB and Pac Man Jones...  That had me rolling!!!!!!!! 17. To be a big kid Gulley has quick hands!
 18.
67-42 WB Wins!!
62-47 sorry for transposing my numbers COOP!!! This shows why WB should not lose another game in district even though Simon will find a way to!!! Whats funny is WB's two best players... Lenard Whittington (8 pts.) and Donte Lopez (11 pts) had bad games and still lead a blowout!
 19. I think WB takes this one in an up tempo fast paced game!

I LUV THE WAY PEOPLE FLIP FLOP W A WIN NOW THEY 'RE BETTER W/O HIM GOTTA LUV IT
No flip flop here...  I really thought that there was no talent around him... But maybe the kids never got the chance to show their talents...  Now without him they have shown that they have talents too...  My mind or opinion didn't flip flop...  The players stepped up and proved me wrong!

It may be true!  What do you think?
If he is selfish in his play, then yes it seems like they are.
Its not about selfish play...  Its about attitude that pours into his teamates.  And the total disdain for the coaching staff that he displays on the court!
Yea, I'm happy.  I would have rather the W though.  Fans were going to storm the court!  But I cant be disapointed by how the Jags carried themselves.  They wasnt' intimidated at all by Ozen's height and by all the other things that comes with playing Ozen.  VERY good game, this was!
if im not mistaking soulja yall have more height den us our tallest player iz willie jefferson n yall have a 6'8 n 6'9 post so yall got us on the height as far as gulley he's not the dominant player evryone makes him to be he needs 2 work on his 3 point shooting....................i noticed wen he tried to take over the game in the 4th qt his 3 pointer was not there at all he played a pretty decent game tho
That post player is a freshman and as you can see, he had no effect on the game.  Yall got Joseph, Jefferson, and the other post player, and they all animals and  play taller than what they are.    I agree with you.  Gulley do need to work on that 3 point shot, but to say that he isnt' dominant is ludacrous.  He caused yall fits all night.  That Jefferson kid yall got was the difference maker in the 4th and is the reason yall won.  If we can get our 'Jefferson' to play like that, we'll be way better!
soulja how tall wuz numba 33...........i coulda of sworn the annoucer sed he wuz 6'8 n i say gulley is not dominant bcuz goin into the game the players of ozen wasnt even worried about gulley n he couldnt take over the game wen it counted the most like a dominant player like jcovan brown r decarlos frank would do.............so yea he got his lil 22 but didnt really impress me much wit dat stat cuz most of his points were 4rm easy layups...........but on one play he impressed me wen he got a and 1 dat wuz a pretty nice shot.............n soulja dominant in my book would b wut jcovan done against us wit 32 points n brought his team 4rm down 10 n ended up losing by three dats dominant
You only saw the Gulley kids once and say he is not dominant....  He dropped 22 and kept his team in the game so that he would not have to score 32 to catch-up.... And still not win (J. Brown)...  In fact he kept his team up after every quarter except the 4th... I may question his clutch decisions but "dominant" is what he was!
 25. Good names guys... those kids were sick and sweet was the man!
