To Memorials defense there second best player Jacovian Buckner did not play in Saturdays contest verses Yates. But Yates has a good all around team and will challenge Ozen in region this year. I went to the Toyota Center and saw both Saturday Games (Yates vs. Memorial & Duncanville vs. Madison) But lets talk about J. Brown. I have watched this kid extensively and he is by far the best player around these parts. There were Houston Natives at the game talking about how this kid is far better than any one indivisual they had scene play all year. The Houston Native's were waiting for him to put 40 up in the third quarter and will his team to a win. That didn't happen. Madison has a SICK guard that plyed all over the floor against #1 Duncanville. Thuis kid is physically gifted and plays with a lot of heart and desire. The reason I say this is for all the talent that is bottled up in J. Brown the attitude can be detrimental to his becoming a great player. I know if I saw him talking back to the coach and packing that attitude, scouts saw him too. The kid from Madison had his team play up to him because of his attitude and the entire team looked talented because of him. But every player on Memorial's team does exactly what J. Brown does... Terrell is not the greatest coach and we all know that... That's why Lincoln got rid of him and I was so surprise that Memorial hired him back. But Brown leads that teams and they all follow his example, all the kids look up to him. He did not listen to coach the team did not listen to coach... He talked back to coach the team talked back to coach... He played no D the team played no D!!! I have seen J. Brown lock a man down for a play or two because he really wanted to, just think if he does that the entire game (Henderson should rest the kid more too). Hands down he is as good as he allows himself to be... His worst enemy is himself. Message to J. Brown: Clean up the attitude, Make your team play up to you, lead by example, you are great, put a great attitude behind that. Message to Memorial's players: Make A LAY-UP!!!!!! Message to Henderson: What ever set-up "31" is on defense the players don't know it so it doesn't work. You kept calling it and Yates kept scoring... Go figure ???

I would go QB B. Wiilams WR freddie King WR Frog TB Hussey TB ALbert Williams LT, LG, C, RG, RT all the big kids from Ned, PNG, WOS, Newton, WB D-line the same and at least one Dayton kid RE & LE from the WB (put a lil weight on them and 6'5" sounds dominating LB - That kid WOS, The kid from NED, and the kid from WB Corners from Dayton, Central, and Ozen Safety Falgot Safety WOS' safety.. This team would be nice by there sophmore junior seasons

BEAT UCLA on their floor!!! Big UPSET for a young, short team... They have played a tough road tested schedule so far and I think top 5 too. I just cant put them over those big teams Kansas, NC, Memphis even though we showed that we can beat size... Texas will lie and die by jumpers this year... I hope its living!

tIME OUT OR TURN OVER?

Ozen wins by 8... they did not lead the game until the fourth... WB dominated the first half and went into the forth up by one. Ozen second lead of the game since 10-7 in the first 3 minutes came in the forth and they held on!! When Brook gets their guys from football they will be strong!!!! Lopez had another good game... I told you guys watch out for him... Too many WB turnovers late... The coach from brook did not call a play in the late game and really hurt his team..

Oh my God!!! All aboard the L-Train and 22-4A!!

Texas City baerly beat Friendswood, Todays Dayton would blow Friendswood out!!!! Lamarque beat PNG (19-0) and todays PNG would give them a battle but PNG is the only team to beat the L-Train this year... psycological edge goes to Dayton... I think Texas City would be a easier game for you guys... You owe them from last year and you are obviuously just as good as they are. Lumberton really doesn't know fear because this territory is so uncharted for them, but they do see that Lamarque blanked the only team to beat them!

One more thing!! TC beat Lamarque by a field goal... TC is not undefeated they lost a game.

What i was saying is neither team got away with an easy play.... LaMarque is Playoff tested and TC has been good all year this year... You guys in Dayton should be happy for the opportunit y to pay TC back from last year!

Elite players like Hussey are not guarenteed every year... There are teams around here that compete every year and don't have elite players coming every year... And when that player comes along it makes that team even stronger. The dynamic of highschool football changes often and can't be predicted. Keep growing and find yoiurself in 5A and that is an entirely new playing field! I hope you guys prove me wrong but it takes more than a season to claim a turning point!

SO! Dayton be thankful that you don't have Lamarque second round... If there was a secret meeting Dayton benefitted more than Lumberton!

That sounds great and all and I am not trying to damper this years team!!! Those kids can flat out play... But you can't assume a turn-around for a team with no history of being a good or even decent program... That will be earned on the field like those kids did this year... Until I am proved incorrect, which wont be for two or three years... I suspect this team to be a ONE-HIT-WONDER... All I say is TIME will prove me wrong or right!

Lumberton has a great team and I expect them to give Lamarque all they can handle... But I think they are a one hit wonder... Make the most out of this year L-Train... You made me a 2007 believer and took the respect by force... BUT longevity is earned not assumed!!!

I thought it was a ridiculous prediction anyway.. It had no historical back-up. What makes anyone think that that district is better than 22-4A. Now that Dayton has moved to this district, sorry there is absolutely no chance!

Dont be surprised Jake... This is a Southeast Teaxs message board so the Southeast Texans will pick the Southeast Texas' school. Everyone wants to see Lumberton do well... Everyone loves an underdog!!!

Memorial has some tall guys but Ozens tall guys are beast... They have meat on their bones... PA guys were skinny!!! Ozen plays a 6'5" guard and the football boys weren't allowed to be a big part of the game... Ozen is much better but the game was physical and Brown deserved every call he got! So did Ozen! Both teams will be hard to deal with!
