Oh yeah-let me make myself clear!  That is not a slap at everyone west of the trinity, or just Barbers Hill setx members in general.  It's just BHfan and bh 89-2 that I am refering to.
 3. Can Sonnier throw or is he strictly an option as a wildcat qb?
 4. LCM's varsity has more kids than it has in a while; last year they had 12 seniors this year's team looks close to 20...Coach Crouch has done a good job both in keeping the multi-sport boys in football, as well as winning some over some of the south Little Cypress kids from WO-S (WO-S is an open district, while LCM cuts off at about I-10.  Earl Thomas and James Haynes, for example, both lived in Little Cypress but went to WO-S in high school)

 7. Sounds good to me-you HAD to bust the wedge or it would be very effective-I wonder what effect this will have on kick-off returns...

Good luck anyway I guess iu would have to make things up if i were in desperate need as yall are.
Kinda curious to know which game you were at, Justme, since I was also at the game and can attest to Vidor's JV win.  Furthermore, I even have it on video since my son was playing in that game.  Perhaps you are the one in desperate need to "make things up".
I've seen people argue about who WILL win a game, and I've seen people argue about who SHOULD have won a game, but I've never seen people argue so much about who actually won it :) Anyway...Momma Pirate, if you could send a link to the video that would be greatly appreciated

 13. Is this the youngster courtney davis who posted this?  ;D ;D ;D
 14. Little Cypress's 8th grade team is supposed to be really good.  Both of Mauriceville's teams, ironically, are not predicted to do very well.  Unfortunately, it seems that the north part of LCM is undergoing a cultural change...people around the Middle School will understand what I'm talking about
I just took a poll of myself, and it looks like LCM is predicted to go undefeated this year...
Wow!!!  I heard the same thing about Vidor....  I'm interested to see how that's gonna work, seeing how y'all play each other. ??? :D
Oh, dang, I forgot about Vidor.  We'll tie Vidor.  Fortunately, since Vidor will be D1 in playoffs both of us will be able to win state
 16.
BH pay scale will bump his final avg salary for teacher retirement.
Man...Lord knows that BH can spend the money...just ask anybody that is affliated with LCM's band program
 17. oh yeah.  ;D I forgot they run the slot-t.  But the difference in ideology is very similar, and both sort of limit passing opportunities... But obviously Vidor's personnel dictates them running that type of offense...just like LCM's DOES NOT.
 18.
i thought it was a good game myself and i thought that lcm played us tough. But different teams match up well with some and not so well with others, you know i can remember going to lcm not so long ago and getting thumped by more than 40 pts. it was a night were we could do no right and they could do no wrong, it was almost hilarious to see just how bad things can go in a hurry. but that is what makes this district so special and why i go to the games.
Good point.  Just looking at the scores from 19-4A last year, it seems like every week had 2-3 blowouts.

 20. Ah, yes.  Brilliant!  give them a little time to think about what they've done.  They'll be so ashamed that surely they will play better later...
 21.
People keep on mentioning the 7 on 7 success of LCM, which is impressive, but what most people fail to notice about this game is that PNG's offensive line has 5 starters that all started more than a single game on varsity at one point last season (2 started the entire year). The defensive line also has 3 returning starters (2 first team all district) and 2 more that have varsity experience. The game is won and lost in the trenches, with that being said, Bertrand will probably run for just as many yards as Harmon did against LCM last year, and the pressure on Gonzales will be too much for him the play 7 on 7, hence the only success being on the WR screen last year. It should be an exciting game, but don't look for it to be too close in the very end.
Are you implying that since LCM has done well in 7 on 7, it is impossible that they have also improved in the trenches?  Don't forget that Coach Crouch was a collegiate lineman...and LCM does return 5 of their front seven.  Not saying that they will be PNG caliber, but definately an improvement over last year.
 22.
It is "Se habla espanol?" or "Te hablas espanol?". Oh well, just trying to keep up with my spanish skills.
Se habla espanol--is the passive tense, meaning "spanish is spoken here", or "we speak spanish"... ?Tu hablas? (or ?usted habla?) means "do you speak" If you want to ask a friend how to say "do you speak spanish" (which is what I think GCM Pats is trying to do), you could just say "¿Hablas español?"                                                              ...But don't quote me on that, I'm just trying to help...
 23. I've heard that they are going to be second in that district (after Dayton) and I have also heard that they lost so many people that they will miss playoffs.  Anyone with info, please comment
 24. I personally prefer the flex-bone (a.k.a the armed forces' offense  ;D).  The wish-bone can work if you are significantly bigger/meaner than the other team's defense, but that can be said for almost anything.  There is a reason it is nonexistant in college/pros: defense schemes have evolved to where running the football successfully is more difficult than it once was, especially in a 3-yards-cloud-of-dust system.  Of course you can point to Vidor as running it successfully last year, and it does have the advantage of running down the play clock, (less scoring, more rested defense) but God-forbid you fall behind big. Of course, it is not a coincidence that everybody is switching to the spread, particulary fast teams and teams with the ability to pass the football effectively.  Defenses are having to become faster (as opposed to bigger) to deal with the way the spread offenses can isolate a ball carrier out on the perimeter.  Perhaps the best thing the wing-t has going for it is that since defenses are focusing on the spread, they are sometimes not properly prepared-or have the right personnel-to go against the wing-t.  Trust me, the fact that it is a serious change of pace is a big advantage. That being said, I personally dislike it because of the way it somewhat limits what running plays you can do.  There are not many plays that the fullback can run to the side away from the halfback, few options for the qb, etc...please, Vidor fans, I don't want to hear about how you averaged 330 yards on the ground last year.  Vidor's personnel was a PERFECT fit for that offense.  That was more of an anomoly than an example of how dangerous the wing-t can be
