Has anyone been on a job that had a boss that wasn't the best in the world?  If you have, you know there is a high volume of employee turnaround.  I don't care how much you like the work....you will leave for better leadership.  You might even take a job that pays less! I don't understand how anyone says.....Coaches have nothing to do with it.  Everyone follows a true leader.  If leadership is in doubt..... grown ups leave, and so will kids.  

A win over HF....this year.....proved that you can tie your shoes.  It should never....never be considered as a "solid" win.  If you think that it was a solid win......[b]you[/b] might not have the ability to tie your shoes. ;D I feel bad for HF.

Attention Orangefield fans.....have you noticed that the Silsbee posters are not talking smack about Orangefield? I see Orangefield as greatly improved on both sides of the ball. They play with heart and are disciplined as all get out. Orangefield put up.....how many on Newton? I believe that this game will be a good one. Im looking forward to Fri night........ You are not overlooked.

I dont see a run away. The game is being played in Orangefield. Orangefield wants to go into the playoffs. Beating the Tigers would help out a tad. Silsbee still has to learn how to close out a game. Small things that wins ball games. I do like the Tigers but it will be a tight one again. 28-21 Tigers on top.

Chippy and 88 are both correct on this one. Good posts. Love your kids enough to hug them and lay down the law. I just dont like the fact that I loose sleep over the type of things that are happening around our kids. The age of innocence is gone.

Good game for both teams. This district race is not over. They all seem to be more even than years past. If I was picking for $......It would be a hard living. I'm proud of the Tigers. Keep it up. Silsbee will go as far as the D takes them.

At school, yes I think it should be banned and punishment should be given. ya think? At home it's none of the schools business. YA think? Joking aside, the digital phones can tarnish a reputation very quickly. It should be up to the parent NOT the school to teach them about ethics and common sense. When I was a teen my mom came up and said, "Son I need to talk to you about something I found in your room." I said, "Mom, the beer isnt mine--its my friends." She said, "No.......Im talking about the magazine!" Double the trouble! ;D It happend at home and she took care of it. If it happens at School- the school will handle it....then the parents.

Look at it this way. I took a photo of your daughter or son with my camera. That day I went and had them developed. The next day I took one of the copies to school and showed a couple of buddys......The photo was of your daughter or son in all their glory. A phone has memory. You can save a photo and pull it up any time you want to. A teenager will think about the photo every 5 seconds......Ya think? Its going to be pulled up about every 10 seconds....Ya think? Having a photo like that on your phone is the same as taking as bringing a Playboy Mag to school and opening it up every 10 seconds.....Ya think?

Like you said...Due to the weather it didnt go very well on ticket sales, but every dollar helps. I hope you enjoyed your winnings. I wish you would have won more.....that way Operation Graduation would have won more. speveto.....its hard to let go of money these days, no matter how small of an amount, but you did. I don't know what happened. I don't know what the kids did or didn't do. I know this. I'm tired of seeing kids get into hot water situations that will have an bad impact on their future. I miss problems like....getting in trouble for taking a few of Mr. Jones watermelons. I can deal with that one!

Fast running backs usually try to bounce it outside to get their yards. It works when you are playing slower teams but when they meet up with a fast team they end up losing a couple of yards....They get frustrated and are lost for the rest of the game. If they would use their speed to hit the hole hard, put their helmet on the back of their lineman, they could get 4 to 5 yards a pop. Lower yourself and go! If you think Im wrong ask Orangefield. The lineman look like JV players but they are leading the district on the ground.
