How much better is HF and OF going to be with their new misdirection offense? I think by changing to the offences they will be running it is going to close the gap a little.....Not all the way, but I think its going to suprise a couple of people.

I'm not surprised at all. I grew up in the Houston area. Once bigger got better....you lost the small. If you are not a 5-a school - the coverage drops off greatly. I like the fact that the majority of the schools around the Golden Triangle are 4-a and below. The majority usually wins. Coverage by the media in this area is mostly fair.....If you cover one small school, they know they need to cover them all. If you loose one small guy, you will lose another. Majority wins.

They also said Silsbee would be playing at WOS. The Golden Triangle is just a mystery to them.

Silsbee will be fine. Top notch QB that wants to lead. Senior RB with something to prove. At least 3 quality WR that can catch the ball then make you miss. Young but talented O line, one of them needs to be a solid leader. One of the strongest LB corps Silsbee has had in years- a lot of depth. Mix of Young and Old fast DBs that cover well and are fast. When any of them get an INT - watch out. Mix of Young and Old on the D-Line. Good talent. Its going to be fun to watch. They are going to be strong late in the year when they go into the playoffs. I just hit 100 posts.

I don't think they will play in this area.....I think 3-a schools are to big for them.

I haven't commented very much on the coaching change over there at PNG. The team hasn't played their first game, so I have that wait and see thing going on......but this guy sure is doing a lot of good. The season hasn't had the first kick off yet, but I believe PNG might have one that cares.

thats the key That's not the key. Winning is the key. I have siad it before that if they go 0-11 with 85 kids from the golden triangle - no one will show. But if they go 11-0 with 85 kids from Hawaii, the stands will be full. Just win baby. It is easy to say that it would be hard to watch a zero win team - and it is easy to say you will watch an undefeated team. I didn't say Lamar needs to have only Golden Triangle talent on it. - But... If they get the larger share of all the local talent that is being recruited out of here, they will not have a Zero win season. Recruiting strongly means that you recruited so well that the very talented young out of the Golden Triangle helped Lamar win over McNeese - not McNeese over Lamar. I will follow the team that wins...I wouldn't be able to stop my family from going to the stadium if local boys played a large part in winning.
