Exactly.....as a player the last 2 years and now a fan i can definately see that the hecklers this year are far less committed than the hecklers of the past 2 years. dang the hecklers lost their thunder... i hope this isnt a glimpse into the future of the entire hawks organization...

I have a kid like this and he spent most of pre district play on the bench or in the stands because he felt like he didn't have to listen. Mom and dad think he's going pro though and they said they would show me. well i hope they do... but i doubt it... if he's likke the kids im talking about its a lost cause

I guess thats one idea HA silsbee did play some team ball against BC more than ive seen in a while from them... there are still some that arent with the program but theyll work it out

would you want your varsity team playing a jv team because you know you cant compete with their varsity? wow you just dont listen...i said play up for more competition to get your kids ready for the next level i never said play down your just arguing for argument sake. and your absolutely right silsbees jv would beat both of those teams. i think westrbooks freshmen could give hf a game. on a side note i really would like to see silsbee and st thomas jv play each other it would be a great game im going back to what you originally said... i always agree to play up.. but i dont know of any varsity team that would agree to play a jv team... it just wouldnt be right... what if they lost... it would be way more embarassing than losing to a way better varsity team I was personally involved with a varsity team playing a JV. Back in 1980, I was on Silsbee's JV and Spurger varsity needed a game for their homecoming(Spurger doesn't play football, therefore they have their homecoming in basketball) We agreed to play them and well, to make a long story short, we killed them, 122-35. I will never forget that game for many reasons. how dare you aggies... thats unsportsman like and on their homecoming game :D :D shame shame

So apparently you're account wasn't very accurate. how is it inaccurate again? there were some stupid 3 pointers taken with someone in their face and the kids were taken out of the game for it.... oh well that is a new tone from you, now silsbee wasn't shooting wide open threes they are shooting guarded threes in the second half with a big lead. That makes it sound better there are some kids who shoot the ball whether it is right or wrong and you just cant stop that... im talking about the real basketball players who only take the open shots not the ones who are "tryin to get theirs" I agree those kids are out there just trying to get theirs, but I have to disagree with your statement that it can't be stopped. it can be stopped... youre right about that but in silsbee's case those kids will get theirs it wont stop...

how does that make me a moron?? i would never tell a kid not to shoot thats counter productive... im in the stands because i graduated moron... if he knows so much why isnt he a coach than?...and you took two of my comments and merged them together to prove your own point. freshmen teams play jv teams all the time for more competition and it happens with jv and varsity too. Yeah let me tell i havent gradumacated high skool yet. you do not understand coaching and are just the type of person who wants to beat people by 200 and doesnt care about sportsmanship or character. I am a kelly fan and i think kellys girls beating milburn by that much was wrong. they should have never scheduled that game or let their jv play the game there is no point in playing games like that. now if milburn would have been a district game you slow the game down make your kids pass the ball alot and leave the game. wow did i say to not rebound or block out you play the game but if you have to make 15 passes a game you do it you run the spread dribble the clock out shorten the game. o we forgot the almighty lazeek and his infinite knowledge of the game of basketball. he knows all because he coaches little dribblers i think lazeek knows a lot more than you think... you dont know what you are talking about... what do you think is more embarassing losing to the #8 team in 3a by 60... or knowing that you arent even good enough to play on the same court as someones varsity so they sent out there jv because your team wasnt worthy... that shows less sportsmanship and character then anything ive said wow way to take everything out of context i had no problem with hjs score against bridge city as i have seen both teams play and suspected the score would be somewhere in that neighborhood. hj with their press is just as capable of scoring 100 against bridge city as silsbee was but somehow they managed to keep the score down. i have no problem with coach sutherlands philosophy. and as for my other comment maybe you should read more carefully i was saying kellys girls varsity should have never scheduled that game. freshmen teams play jv all the time for more competion as is the same for jv and varsity. nice try you said they shouldve let the jv play the game... where did i take it out of context??

Did anybody say Silsbee shouldnt try to win? oh you just want them to keep it close... so that everyone is a winner... it was a sad day in sport when participation trophies started getting handed out
