Jayce Nelson not making first team WR when he led the district in yards and touchdowns and was second in receptions. But when a kid makes first team WR while having 12 catches for 104 yards and 1 TD over seven district games you know it is a bogus choice and made on reputation alone. [/quote]yeah I completely agree, but here's the deal. Coaches from each team nominate as many players as the want for their team for each position. Some coaches nominated the ones that they thought were deserving from their team, bit some coaches just nominated almost all the kids from their team. So with that being said, if a kid had only two good games the whole district race....even if the others he didn't do anything. Then he would get two votes to be on first team, and sometimes that's all you need. So stats account for nothing, its all about how he did against two or so teams. Also, kids that were tied for votes on first team were not separated into first and second team. They were all just put on first team resulting in the unusual amount of kids on the teams. I hope I answered some of your questions.

If it comes down to a close game the smaller field goal posts at Lamar could be a factor IMO
