1. Fireworks from the purple bats tonight 19 runs so far tonight
2. #1 This is a joke naming the stadium after him. #2 I guess if CBT wasn't at BISD then whoever was in his place would not have presented any bond issues in the same amount of time as CBT has been there. (thats bs) #3 Sorry to all of you BISD sports fans who have to deal with this crap..............
3. PNG has a big part of last season's team returning including most of that line and the all important QB. I myself wasn't a believer in teams turning it around in a season but with the right coach and a tiny pinch of magic you never know. My co-worker also told me that the back up QB from last season, some of you may remember, came in and run the football from the QB position very well. They moved him to wideout he is a heck of an athelete. They have to replace most of the DB's but so much talent coming back from a team that lost by 7 to the statefinalist. I like the Purple people's chances. They will also compete in a very tough district this season.
4. Anyone have a update from this one.
5. Unfortunatly Vidor may have picked the wrong little school to pick on. Vidor should play 4A and up. I guess we have had this discussion 1 to many times.
6.
If Forney were connected to me, we wouldnt be having this discussion. It's too political in that small town. I wish i could come down there and watch their spring game to watch that big 6-5 245 pound qb destroy his so-called competition.
OK new guy with only 11 posts. Very defensive over something that probably isn't decided yet. Sounds fishey to me. Is it someone who needed to create a new profile to say this or is it someone connected and upset? Maybe both? I guess time will tell. What do you mean by so called? What kind of coach would not make their starting QB position be a competition? One that is not very smart. What if there IS someone better? Have you answered all these questions to yourself? I bet not!!!!!
7. If you want change then get more than 1000 to 2000 thousand to go vote. All of the voters are the older crowds. Thats how they get what they want they vote. Think about this 70 to 80 % of the votes are cast by people who no longer have kids in school. You want change get all your neighbors to vote. Enlist the help of the students to get there parents out of the house and to the booth.
8. Fillmore Central PANTHERS Head coach: Danny Malone With starters returning at 16 positions, eight on offense and eight on defense, the Panthers seem a good bet to make great strides from last year’s 3-5 mark. Head coach Danny Malone, who has won 204 games in his career, likes his team’s overall experience.“Not only do we have good experience back at many positions, we also have some good young players to mix in with our seniors,” says Malone. “It should be an interesting season for us but our schedule is really tough.” Malone has a point, as the Panthers out-of-district games include tussles with Boone Central, St. Cecilia, Fairbury and Wood River. Yikes. Senior Riley Bohlken (6-2,175) returns as the team’s starting quarterback and last year had a solid season, passing for 736 yards and seven touchdowns. All-district fullback Tyler Salmon (6-2, 225) returns to pulverize would-be tacklers, while sophomore Tanner Licke (5-10, 190) steps into the starting running back position, taking over for all-district Durron Wynne, who gained nearly a thousand yards last season. Sophomore Shawn Yates (5-10, 180) returns as a starting wide receiver and also does the team’s punting (31.5 per), while Paul Hubert, a 170-pound junior, is back at tight end. Three starters return in the offensive line, including senior guards Sam Pendleton (6-1, 210) and Grant Snyder (5-10, 195) and junior tackle Nate Parde (6-0, 250). There is a nice blend of experienced talent returning on defense. Three starters are back in the line, including senior tackle Levi Davenport (6-1, 250), senior end Snyder and junior end Tanner Barbur (6-1, 200). Salmon and junior Paul Hubert (6-0, 170) return at linebacker and Bohlken and Yates return as starters in the secondary. Bohlken was also an all-district performer in 2007. That opening run of games will not do Fillmore Central any favors but we see the Panthers winning five games and making the playoffs. This I found on a Nebraska football website. This was before the 2008 season i believe.
9. I thought Id read they would announce the HF AD/HC jobe yesterday.
10. Malone has 204 wins thats worth a look in itself.
11. I think the decision lies with the elected officials and whether they want to focus there money on there football program. Like I said it is time to bring somthing new to a once proud program. PNG done this exact same thing one year ago. May take longer for the smaller school but this is extremely possible. HF will have the athletes to be good again just need the right net there to catch em win they do.
12. Come on guys and gals it wil never be the way it used to be. There is no more of the old HF teams. Time to say "team of the future" or "team of now" not " the old HF". You guys need to take a lesson from PNG last season and update to a fresh staff and make a new HF football program. Time to make some new memories.
13. One guy mentions the old coach from PN-G will work em hard and get em in shape. Then here we go with we dont want him or he isnt right for us. LOL.  The parents would like to keep the good ole boy system going out there. I work with a guy from HF and he has no faith in this process what so ever and he says the parents out there doesn't want anyone who will take over and shut em out.
