Hardin seems to be much improved on both sides of the ball. It'll be exciting to see how they do this week. P.S. Any statement that starts with, "I don't mean to take anything away from..." does just that. Liberty should have done much better than they did against Hardin. That said, it's just a scrimmage but I got the feeling liberty wanted to make a much better showing than they did.

Hardin looked better than last week in my opinion, offense looked pretty good and did well against Liberty's starting defense. Defense looked better as well tackling has to improve, its a matter of effort when you are tired. They know how just seem to slack off as they play. Liberty exposed some blown secondary assignments early on. That'll improve with more reps and film time.Overall Hardin improved in one week, looking forward to next weeks game.

Broncos will be fine, Gird up your loins Bronco fans, it might be rough for a while but we will make the playoffs. The kids we are talking about are good and some will be great athletes. They are well coached and things will look different in a few weeks. All you Bronco coaching experts should remember the young men who work hard all year to be on that field. Mind your words, they read this stuff.

Play every sport you enjoy, 99.9% never "make it to the big time", specializing or not. If you don't go pro then you missed out on a lot of fun for nothing.

Like you said Hancock is 2-0 against the Cougars. If Crosby plans on beating Dayton in the near future their best chance will be this year, while they have Senior twins. We will be young but talented, with a much needed QB change. I understand that your angst for Dayton won't allow you to be objective, this probably wasn't worth saying.

They are both doing good now but a good diet is the key. The problem with most shakes is they can't eat full meals because of the quantity of the shakes they were drinking. We found a high protein shake through Zija that isn't near as filling and they still eat full healthy meals and we are seeing good results. But, it ain't cheap.

King has been deemed academically unacceptable by the State. Smart decision for him, if you can you should, Summercreek is going to be good again and for the foreseeable future. Though historically it has been very rare for bears to be sighted south or east of Val Verde County, so far in 2012 there have been a dozen such sightings. “This is likely a result of a growing number of bears in Mexico dispersing and searching for food after severe droughts and wildfires,” says TPWD biologist Jonah Evans of Alpine, the department’s bear coordinator. “Whether these sightings signify a permanent recolonization of Central and South Texas remains to be seen.” While black bears are native to all of Texas, in the early 1900’s, heavy hunting and trapping completely eliminated them from the state. Currently, the only established breeding populations are in the Big Bend area of West Texas. “Black bears are generally not a risk to humans,” Evans says. “But they can become a nuisance if they gain a taste for human food, pet food, or trash. We’ve recently received several reports of bears tipping over and damaging deer feeders and a few raiding trash cans along the border.” Evans says the department’s goal is for people and bears to coexist peacefully. “By eliminating food rewards, we eliminate most of the problems,” he says. “Many communities in bear country have effectively adapted to live with bears, but it takes everyone working together and doing their part.” The most effective strategy is for residents along the border to secure their trash, bird feeders, and pet food, so bears don’t become habituated to easy meals, Evans notes. “This cannot be overstated,” he continues. “The saying ’A fed bear is a dead bear’ is absolutely true. If a bear becomes habituated and food-conditioned, there is little we can do to save it. It will likely have to be destroyed.” TPWD is asking for people to report all bear sightings. If a bear is causing a nuisance, TPWD will work with residents to secure attractants and may attempt to haze the bear. In extreme situations, the bear may be relocated. Biologists are also available to give talks and educational programs on living with bears. Since black bears are a threatened species in Texas, they cannot be legally hunted or harmed. As far as the Taxpayer comment goes you can go up the admin building and find out just how much of your tax money is being paid to CS. By the way, thanks to Coach Stewart and his support for the booster club Dayton went at least 10 years + without any change in the Athletic budget.
