Dayton has 8 returning starters, it will be a mature team with 10 seniors. Dayton does lean more toward football but, I think we will be competitive in Baseball this year. Excited to see the season get started and see how we will do in this district.

I am not sure, but I would say there is a good possibility that he will see some playing time. He makes things happen on the field.

I know there is some editing going on but, they are some shotgun shootin fellers.

As far as Dayton goes, we have an All-State DB returning #14 Ford Smesny. Our QB #21 Cody Green, started as a sophomore last year, is coming back with a year of Varsity QB experience and playoff experience. A.J. Dugat #25 WR/RB, also started as a sophomre last year. I expect to see good things from all of these boys.

That is a great evaluation of Dugat, hit the nail on the head. Not exactly sure why his final decision was WTAM but, I know he will do a heck of a job for them.

Dayton has played Huffman alot. Their new coach DeBerry came from Dayton. Huffman should do pretty good in their District. With BH baseball it doesn't matter what class 3A or 4A, they will do well. Those boys from the Hill can play ball, they never knew they were 3A.

Me too! ;D I never understood why people say East Texas doesn't have many turkey's. But, Really. Do you have a place hunt them and don't or is it that you don't have any turkeys where you hunt?

Haven't heard.

It has been proven, that with good management, the Hill Country can produce 130 class deer with in 3 years. It looks like ya'll are on the right track, the key is buck to doe ratio. You have to take some of those does, (usually alot) to get better bucks.

I know thats a local paper but, Ford Smesny - DB - Dayton is on that list.

Excellent post. I know this might sound cheesy but it truly is the simple things that make life grand. The other day I was duck hunting with my boys. Some woodducks landed about 80 yds away through the flooded timber a few minutes later they swam right up to us. I mean one drake was about 5 ft from me, it was unbelievable. Ahhh, the simple things. Oh yeah, we ended wackin 2 of them. ;D
