I am sure there have been many instances where home cookin has happened. I would think its usaully because we are mad about losing. There are always gonna be bad calls but usually that goes both ways. The calls always even out in the end.

Well some whining has been done about announcers, taunting and cheering their team on during games. You know "getting the crowd involved", some people took offense to it at a couple of games. Someone mentioned UIL rules, so I looked it up. Evidently there are no rules governing the sportsmanship of the announcers. I admit I was one of the whiners about Lumbertons announcer.

Theres always a chance for an upset or we wouldn't play the games. If Dayton plays like they have been its gonna be a long night for the Pirates. :shock:

This is all there is about announcers in the UIL rule book that I could find. PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM Public Address Announcements It is recommended that the following public address announcements be made prior to the game: “These are high school athletes performing tonight. According to my work radar its headed that way. Accuweather says it will be clear for most of game time. Well not clear, but not raining.

Any comments or predictions?

Dugat has a ways to go, he didn't get many touches in pre-season. Hopefully he can make it up in district play. He only has 502 right now, he will get his 1000+ this year.

Dayton has at least 2 interceptions returned for TD's. Special Teams, I know of 2 punt returns for TD's.

Next Friday: SETX Superbowl I piratefan vs. pimp smack, raidernation, luv ya blue and the rest of L-Town. Any predictions?

All ya'll Vidor folks take notice that it ain't Dayton fans predicting the the game. We are coming into this knowing that the competition is much stiffer than last year. The games have got to get closer than the last two. It should be a good game.

Dayton is doing better than everyone predicted in this new district. All of the talk is about their success so far. It is only hype if they are not living up to expectations. We doing better than expected so people are talking. Its all in how you see things, after we play ya'll then you can talk. Just because its got you worried don't mean its hype.

The WOS and Dayton JV game was a good one. WOS 14 - Dayton 6 Lots of speed on the field, low scoring, excellent game.

I know what you mean, think it is was 28-24 right. You always worry, when the score is less than a touchdown apart.

Good point, blowouts should be pretty rare in this district. We just happen to have two already. I don't expect to many more like that. Can't wait to see ya'll in Vidor.

Dayton JV is doin real good. They are 3-2 (2-0 District). We have, I believe 5 Juniors on JV. Lots of speed on defense and pretty good QB. We will see tomorrow, how we stack up against Vidor.
