3.
Hey buckin bronco if i was as great and as bad as you say you are, i certainly wouldn't be playing at little bitty sfa...........
There have been plenty of ridiculous and off hand comments on here but this one takes the cake. Making fun of a HS kid who is getting a scholarship to play football. Your a class act bigdaddyblue, congrats on helping Crosby reach a new low. I don't care where a kid is from they are kids, they may and do say stupid stuff. Any HS kid, in any sport who choses to play at the next level, scholarship or not deserves some respect.
 4.
Good answer.  Ideally, under high fence, you would shoot those, but I don't believe it will hurt the herd much to have a few 4 year old, bucks running around with weird racks.  Most will get to be 13" one day, and they can legally be taken then.  They may never be trophies, but they will make better targets than shooting them at age 1 1/2.   JMO
I agree too. If we could count on people to "do the right thing" we wouldn't need the restrictions we have now. I think something could be done but it opens a big can of worms.

I assked the question about culls on the TPWD website, here is the link: [Hidden Content]
Are they going to respond to you directly?
They repsonded here is what I asked. Question First of all I would like to say that I am a proponent of the Antler restrictions laws and have seen proof of their effectivness. One thing that concerns me is that along with the good affects also comes some adverse affects. Deer that don't meet the antler requirements or the current cull requirements are doing better as well. I guess my real question is, does TPWD plan to address the definition of cull deer? Currently a cull has to have one unbranched antler but we see many deer with uneven racks or "crab claws". I know that opening these regulations could cause problems with defining a cull. I am just curious if this will ever be addressed and could the cull defintions change? Answer From: "hunt" <[email protected]> Date: January 14, 2010 7:22:37 AM CST Subject: RE: Web Site - E-MAIL REPLY REQUESTED - Wildlife Management As you stated, allowing hunters to take 'cull bucks' even IF we were to implement a definition, there would be and hunters would take it upon themselves to 'read something into that definition' as they already do with the Antler Restrictions thus creating more problems overall.  Not all hunters and the majority of them are unable to distinguish exactly what a true cull buck much less as determine age of a deer on the hoof. Uneven racked bucks can attain greater inside spread growth with management if the landowner chooses to implement it over time, but it is up to them to offer that to the deer to increase their overall potential for the bucks with uneven racks.  However, the bucks that are being seen with such traits may never be legal due to what has taken place before the Antler Restrictions were implemented where any buck could be taken thus taking out good, favorable genetic-strain bucks at an early age only to leave the undesirable bucks to pass on those traits.  It will be bred out in time though.

That is a problem but with a little time I believe TPWD will address that issue. We have a really good fish and game dept. but it's not flawless. As the public gets more comfortable with the antler restrictions, they will eventually include a cull buck.
The AR's have been in place for several years. I wonder when they are going to get around to it on allowing some means of taking culls.
The sooner the better, not sure when but I know it is an issue they will have to address. Once you have more and better breeding stock, you have to cull the less desireable deer to produce the best herd.

 11.
I totally agree old wildcat.  Facts and logic are way overrated.
I hope you stick around through next FB season. Dayton owns Crosby and they know it. The law of averages worked in Crosby's favor this year, and Crosby had the talent to capitalize. What Crosby needs is coaching to go with that talent.
 12.
We did pretty good yesterday.... 2 widheon, 1 teal, 1 ringneck, 8 gadwall, and a snow... seen lots of birds..... Bout to head out again
Looks like it was a nice productive outing, congrats.

 14. Hunted close to home, didn't do real well. 1 Gadwall and 1 Teal in the timber near Dayton.
 15. First-team picks for Dayton were offensive linemen Chance McCormack and Aaron Ripkowski, defensive linemen Darrian Wright, defensive end Aaron Jenkins, linebacker Jordan Baxter, safety Evan Brown, safety Xavier Baldwin and cornerback Colby Cook. Baldwin, Wright and Ripkowski are juniors, the others seniors. Dayton’s second-teamers are offensive lineman Robert Edwards, receiver Xavier Frank, receiver Gamal Fowler, kicker Juan Carranco, linebacker Moises Herrera and defensive back Quincy Williams. Carranco is a freshman, Fowler a sophomore and Williams a junior. Andreas Herrera QB is a sophomore.
 16. Not sure of the entire list yet but, the recceiving core, with the exception of Ploch are sophomores. This is of course after they moved Frank to RB.
 17. Is it not enough to win district, go 3 rounds deep in the playoffs, have multiple players on the All-District team, and beat an old rival all in one season. It takes time, no one owes you respect, you have to earn it by producing those results year after year. Crosby always plays hard and competes, they deserve better fans than the ones that represent them on this board.
 18.
I want all of you to remember some things when you make your loud/ screaming comments in the stands.  How would you like it if someone came to your job, stood over YOUR shoulder and screamed YOU suck ect.  And to boot your wife and kids were either very close by or at least within earshot. I have a feeling you guys who bash coaches wouldn't handle that with the dignity and class that many coaches (not to mention their spouses) do.  Also, I want to thank Mr. George for giving a coach an forum to address a game and a comunity.  It's pretty rare that in this day and age we can have a media outlet that gives the coach an honest voice.  Support the boys on the field and have some class guys.
Good post.
ok boys i know where the birds are they are at the highisland bridge in the marsh on both sides of the intercoastal waterway
Hopefully those are new deposits of birds that just came down. Can't wait tilll Saturday morning.
 20.
Rumor has it Frank wasn't put up for 1st team ???
Rumor has it...You people... ::) Please I think the above explanation is the reason Frank didn't get 1st Team. He's 1st in my book he did alot of things to help Dayton this year, it was just spread across the stat sheets.
 21.

Wrong again genious.  Payton Ploch through district scored 114 points, Jacacy Evans scored 108.  You are being shot down everywhere you turn.  And for the season they were TIED.  Great job Jacacy.  See it is not that hard to congratulate a player from the other side.  He was a very good runningback.  But no one in District 19-4A did more than Ploch for his team.  Argue that....
He did not do much for his team against Crosby,  and BH.............. Merka did every week.............. So he gets MVP missing almost 1/3 of the district games..............WOW!!!! I not saying he is a great player.......He is, and I wish him all the best things in the world, But I would have given him O MVP and Merka MVP..................... the fact is Crosby gets none of the supers being District Champs....
You know that the coaches vote on these players right? Crosby got alot of credit for what they did this season. Don't deminish it. Congrats to Crosby on their season and they have some fine athletes, not to mention a good coach. By the way his peers vote for that too.
 22. Crosby proves just how unaccustomed they are to beating Dayton by acting like it was the Superbowl. Crosby beat Dayton this year, now we are 1-1 over the last 2 years. We can try to break the tie next year, and keep it a rivalry game.  ;D
 23. Baytown Sterling played them but those fans have been gone from the football forum for about a month now.  ;D Might need to ask this question on the basketball page.
