  1. This question will be answered in week 11. 20-4A is the the more traditionally strong district based on the paste acheivements of GT teams. 19-4A is looking better Dayton, Crosby, BH and in the next few years GCM will be strong teams.
  2. Crosby is returning their QB (Malchar?) right. Who else do they have coming back?
  3. Dayton #20, thats a good place to be. Not forgotten about but not really considered a 10 ten. With A.J. and Cody gone I can understand why people would put us at #20. I have a feeling we will do alot better than that though. ;D
  4. Keep your $ and yall just prove it on the field.
  5. They are a suburb of San Antonio just north on 35.
  6. Some JV teams are all Soph. and the really good sophomores are on Varsity.
  7. I believe Coach Jones is their DC now.
  8. John Stelly from Hardin is also on the Texas Roster as of 6/9/2009.
  9. Sorry BH but I am going with PNG and their new offense. BH will struggle again this year.
  10. I would list the teams... but they aren't in your "peer group" so you might not know them. Of coarse they have to credible like a lufkin, brenham, la marque , texascity someone of that nature, if not than keep them to yourself. We beat Brenham in the playoffs this year 42-21 on our way to the state finals and Texas City 42-10 on our way to the state semi-finals last year.
  11. I have been to 5 of the 6 games, it is great football fix for HS fans.
  12. The 40 time is over-rated! When a player can run below 5 seconds in the forty he is moving pretty quick. If a player can move quick and stop fast then regenerate fast, I will take that over a record breaking forty any day. Case in point Dayton's A.J. Dugat does not have a great 40 time but man he can move with a ball in his hands and this is probably a good description of alot of famous east texas football players.
  13. First on the list, always is the District Championship. It means something just ask any player, coach or fan. Local bragging rights are the first order of business for every team, if they are honest. State is a long shot, but District is in everyone's reach.

  15. That volunteer coach Chris Roberts knows football. Goose Creek ISD needs to hire him for the Sterling Head Coaching spot.
  16. That would be one reason not to have one, they have no business looking at replays. Besides UIL rules state that you can only replay a play once during the game. It is not worth the money for what you get. Its just bells and whistles, no real value.
  17. Local player A.J. Dugat of Dayton, and John Stelly from Hardin are on the Texas roster. [Hidden Content] 8:00 PM Kick-off: 7th Annual “TEXAS-LOUISIANA ALL STAR FOOTBALL GAME†Gates Open at 7 p.m. Ticket Prices: Adults $10 Students Kindergarten thru 12th grade - $5 Kids under 5 free!
  18. WTB, 15 years ago you could have said Dayton was the worst job in SE Texas. Dayton has nice facilities, good pay for its coaches, and the support of the community and administrators because of what Coach Stewart did for that program. Dayton has had some great players the last few years, but there were some seasons under Stewart where the talent was pretty thin and they still made the playoffs. On average I don't think Dayton has been any more or less talented than they were before Stewart, just better coaching. I'll agree Dayton's current district isn't as strong as 22-4a but it's not like Dayton didn't dominate that district also. In 22-4a Dayton was 11-2 (both losses by one point). Averaged 37 points a game and gave up just over 5 points a game. Minor correction 13-1 (only loss to L-town) Thanks for the correction Dayton, I alomost broke my typing finger trying in the rush to correct it. 2006 Sept.29th**Lumberton (HC) W55-7 Oct. 6th ** Beaumont Ozen W48-6 Oct. 13th**Vidor W42-7 Oct. 20th** LCM W35-0 Oct. 27th**Bmt Central W21-20 Nov. 3rd **Nederland W35-7 Nov. 10th**PNG W33-2 2007 Sept.28th**Lumberton L7-8 Oct. 5th** Bmt Ozen(HC) W33-0 Oct. 12th**Vidor W40-0 Oct. 19th** LCM W49-13 Oct. 26th**Bmt Central W20-0 Nov. 2rd **Nederland W63-0 Nov. 9th **PNG W40-7
