Kerrville Tivy QB-Colton Palmer votes for Dayton Broncos Safety-Dylan Bethea. I just had too. ;D -
I stand corrected, everyone feel free to listen to what GTfootball has to say. Oops!

Yeah, the replay is nice when you are winning. Ask Nederland what 9 TD's being replayed does to your morale. A nice conservative scoreboard will do just fine, a purple one would be nice, that,s about all we need.

Amazing, no respect. Well maybe they will man up and prove at least in a scrimmage. -
From what I understand Dayton and WOS would like to include PNG into their scrimmage this could be a chance for them to prove their offense or should say their defense.

Buck bag limit: 2, to include no more than one with an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. A legal buck deer is a deer having at least one unbranched antler, or an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. The inside spread requirement does not apply to any buck having an unbranched antler. These provisions do not apply on properties for which Level 2 or Level 3 MLDPs have been issued.

** 2009 UIL REGIONAL TRACK SCHEDULE **
bronco1 replied to TexasHSFootball's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Daytons graduation is on the 6th, but all 4A will be done on that Friday the 5th. While it makes for a hectic schedule they would still get to participate assuming they make it to state. -
It wouldnt matter if he did say only golden triangle..hes still not the best in the golden triangle..like everyone else has stated..he was a heck of an athlete..but not a QB You obviously have no idea what you are talking about, so everyone please disregard any further football comments made by GTfootball.

No kidding. When someone predicts the same thing year after year and it finally happens (if ever), then the person will say, "See, I told you so". ;D yea thats just it.half of the ppl that get on here don't know diddly squat about football.and i know for a fact that vidor will be the team to beat this next season.and i will go ahead and say it now "i told ya so" yea its a lill soon for it but i am 100% pasotive that vidor will be great next year. I am glad your psaotive but, talking like that will get a big bullseye painted on you or should I say your team. I would be a little more respectful of my opponents since several of them appear in the playoffs every year. I think Vidor has been a pretty good team every since the 06-07 season, they just couldn't get the cards to fall into place. Maybe this year will be different!? -
That might truly be the dumbest statement evr on here. (Don't get you panties in a ruffle, I did not call you dumb, just that assanine statement) Let me see, is Dayton south of Lufkin? YES, Is it east of Hwy 59? Yes, then that would put Dayton in SOUTH EAST Texas. Another way to answer that is to cut the state in quadrants. Where is Dayton? In the lower right, correct? SOUTHEAST Texas. Deal with it bud. If you don't want to include Dayton in the discussion so that one of your Triangle boys should be considered as the best then ask the question in a better way. Who is the best QB to come out of the Golden Triangle? Now then there is no argument there. Dayton is not a part of that scenario. ;D

****TRACK SCHEDULE UPDATE FROM THE UIL****

By my calculation it would work like this, 16 teams(four from each region based on District times), that would equal 2 preliminary races on the first day and a final with the top 8 on the last day. You should start it off with who you think they will be.

More days in August is better in my opinion but, I am not a coach. Better programs are more established and have more depth that would be why they don't need spring practice. I understand a new coach or a coach with a young team wanting some early evaluation time to see what he will have come Fall. As far as its affect on basketball it usually doesn't unless you are a small school and they dont allow it in 3A and down, so to anawer your questions. "Is Spring football necessary? Yes, somestimes. ;D

bronco1 replied to skipper's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Yes that was the most exciting game.Just seconds left tie ballgame and out of nowhere here comes A.J. to take posession of the ball.4 seconds left Cody kicks the ball and its, its, its, good...Dayton wins the game.... Awesome.... Absolutely!!!! It is a moment that will last a lifetime for me! 1st and only field goal of the year and it got us to the State Championship. Hands down, the greastest live sporting event I have ever seen. -

How is BH football looking for next year???
bronco1 replied to RunTheDamBall's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I have been watching this freshman group for about 3 years and there are alot of good athletes. I don't think they will have much of an impact on the 09' season. The best thing going for Barbers Hill is the returners aren't just returning team members but actual experienced players. Smith and Viverette can play ball. -
District 19-4A playoff teams????
bronco1 replied to bigdaddyblue's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Hard to tell, North Forest was a better team than their record showed but they lost there coach. C.E. King, I understand will be losing a lot of players to graduation. Galena Park will be one of the bottom 2. Kingwood Park will do better but still not have a winning record. GC Memorial will improve and be at least middle of the road, possibly a winning record. BH should be one of the top 4 teams and make the playoffs in 09'. The other playoff spot will be King or GCM, I think. -
Published Thursday April 16, 2009 Football: Green will play; green he'll wear BY JON NYATAWA WORLD-HERALD BUREAU LINCOLN - Saturday's spring game isn't shaping up to be the best indicator of what kind of team Nebraska will field next fall. Quarterback Cody Green passes during practice. It's likely to prompt questions rather than provide answers, since several key playmakers will stand on the sidelines, the play-calling will be basic and coaches will mix and match first-teamers to create a competitive product. But coach Bo Pelini says Saturday's 1 p.m. game will be productive, and maybe a little entertaining for the thousands of football-starved fans expected to cram into Memorial Stadium. No secrets will be revealed, but it will serve as the second-year staff's final attempt to evaluate its team without damaging its plans for the fall. "We're going to let guys go out there and compete," coach Bo Pelini said Wednesday. "Go out there and play football, run and tackle and see who steps up." On Omaha.com: Chat live with World-Herald Husker football writers during Saturday's spring game Quarterback Kody Spano, a legitimate contender to back up Zac Lee next fall, will not play and could be sidelined into next season because of a knee injury he suffered Monday. The quarterbacks who do play Saturday will wear green no-contact jerseys. Nebraska's highly touted true freshman - Cody Green - will play, but he's not going to be encouraged to display his on-the-run athleticism much, Pelini said. Green injured a hip in the weight room before spring practice. Green, Lee and Latravis Washington will get reps at quarterback, Pelini said, though he didn't indicate how they would split those up. I-back Roy Helu's tweaked hamstring will keep him out of action Saturday, meaning the first Memorial Stadium appearance of the stronger and quicker Helu will have to wait until the fall. The team's leading rusher would probably play if it were a regular season game, Pelini said. Linebacker Blake Lawrence, a starter for much of the spring, is likely out with a concussion. The team's second-leading returning receiver, Niles Paul, has been suspended since Monday after a weekend arrest. Khiry Cooper, the athletic redshirt receiver, is playing baseball. The Red and White rosters have been set, but were not released Wednesday. According to Pelini, the two teams are pretty even and for the most part, he doesn't expect players to be swapping sides too often. "It's not 1s vs. 1s," Pelini said. "There's going to be some 1s on both. We tried to match guys up." The kicking game will likely resemble a real game and there aren't any plans to keep the clock running through normal breaks, Pelini said. No matter the game's structure, Pelini expects it to be a fun day for the players, who'll get the rare chance to play in front of a near-capacity crowd in the middle of April. Performing in that atmosphere never hurts, according to junior tight end Mike McNeill. All of the attention makes players approach it like a game, he said. "I think just executing (is important) . . . just doing the right thing, nailing your assignments and playing ball," he said.
