How come the results where not posted here??? I guess the home team did not do very well.

BH should be back in their field house also. Heard that nothing was upgraded all the extra money went to the football field upgrades. not sure why???

I was at a tounement and saw this kid from BH play outside. He can hit the 3, drive and sees the open guy outside. In the 2 games I watched he had about 20 points and at least 10 assist. He had several long passes that threaded the needle. Would make a football coach envy. If you have a dominant player and give him a chance to see what he can do anywhere on the court, you me be surprized on what you really have.

True this is a good way for them team to keep track of whats going on. this makes it easier for the coach to contact his players. Twitter me this, Twitter me that, why not just set the team up a face book next!!!!

HJ tournement is going to be good with the new facility and doubling the teams. Should have some great games that week.

Nederland will do good this year. Till they have to play outside of the GT.

Sorry BH is out. They are all ready commited that weekend to play with the Bigger Men in H Town.. They will play HJ this year in Arransas Pass should be a good game!!!!

It's not the winning that counts. It's everyone plays by the same rules. Why don't we just do away with school zones and let the kids go where ever they want. If the parents want to drive their kids all the way to HJ or Silsbee every day shouldn't that be allowed??? or Maybe I want mine to go to Kingwood?? How long would it take for power houses to be made???? OH I forgot SJ is already doing this!!!!!!!!!!!

face it 9 out of 10 times when a freshmen is on varsity it is because the varsity is weak. Not that he is that great. Again that 9 out of 10 times. You what to talk about a player that will do what he needs to do for his team because he wants to win. You have to look at Barbers Hill. Last year Junior Jake Miller #44 played down low and is the most physical player around. In the middle of the year when team mate Hamlin went sick for most of the second half of the year this kid stood up and helped bring the ball down the court. He is not the best PG but I have seen this kid make some passes that most can't. He has vision, speed and the muscle to do what he wants with the ball he is going to be a key player this year in the area and remember if a team goes after the Eagles down low he will swap positions to stop the bleeding. So when you talk about the top 25 kids in the area how many can play ball, bench over 250 and run the 1600 in under 5:30????? Oh I forgot and can throw it down!!!

Is it over??? people need to start using dates for tournements. If it is this weekend coming up 8/28??? Might know of a school team that will come and take a few games.

SJ - Take a hike. No matter what and how you say it. SJ recruits. I know a family that wanted to go there and there son wanted to play ball but there was no room and a couple of the kids on the team were there on scholarships. Public schools can't do that.

can't believe we did even get an invite! Are you sure you can't make room for one more team. We will take good care of the 1st place trophy. ;D

BH has played over 30 games this summer inculding teams like Midland Lee and competed with them with out their full team so this year they are going to be strong if they can stay healthy. That new ball handler is doing a great job and see the court and make the tight passes when needed.

Education is first. I don't think that the NBA should let a player in that took this back door way. Then why go to school at all. If your kid has a talent just spend 8 hours a day developing him and go the back door into the pros. That is not the right message to be sending to young people of todays world. Yes a GED can be gotten by most 8th graders today but not all can graduate from high school. You are sending the WRONG message to kids who read this!!!

Coaches are something that kids can't pick and choose. They have to do with what they get. Toon is good, could be better but could be a lot worse..... He will have more talent and commitment then he has ever had so lets see how he can make a great team better???

They don't have a set boundry that they have to pull from. Even with taking kids from 6 to 8 schools. These schools don't have boundries. So let say that kids in the Golden Triangle could go to any school that they wanted as long as they had the grades how long to you think it would take for someone to make alignments for football, basketball, baseball or any other sport they wanted to excel at. Let say they could only have kids attend SJ that live within 8 miles of the school. I'm sure there are other private schools that have a good academic program for the kids. I wonder how far some of these kids come from to go to school at SJ???/

Next year the Barbers Hill Eagles will be in the playoffs. These guys have already beat several AAU teams from the Houston area and they are a true high school team. With the returning talent and team cemistry that this group has they are working hard this summer to be stronger and faster. They will be the biggest team that BH has put on the court. With the summer commitment that these guys have started and planned out they will play over 30 games before the season ever starts. They will start a strong 5 and a deep bench it the action and scoring will not slow down for 32 minutes. I would say "I can't wait till the season starts" but for the Eagles it has.

;D A team that is going to surpise people is the Barbers Hill Eagles. They have a group of kids that are currently playing and will do about 30 games before the season together. Not like last year seniors this group was strong when they were younger and are now brought to gether as one. They have already defeted several AAU teams from around Houston and qualified for National in Dallas in July. They will be lead this year be several returning players including Jake Miller, Austin Crawley, Daniel Mitchell, Mitchell Hopper and Carson Asbury. Most teams will under estate these guys.

The BH coach must not have been at the meeting so this list is all opinion. The senior class this year was weak and had no leadership. The team for next year is already starting to play as a team and will consist of 12-13 seniors and a couple of juniors. If 1 or 2 guys can carry a team then Dayton should have been alot better then they ended up. second to last.... BH will play as a team and has a bench that will contribute to the long season. 8 strong players will handle 1 show dog..... The EAGLES will be one of the last teams playing next year...

next years senior class has been playing together since little dribblers and with big guys in the paint 6'6" and 6'8" and solid perimiter shooters we will see you in the playoffs. We start playing this weekend and will be ready for next year. 2010 is the year of the EAGLE!!!!!!

Must be the comic section of SETXSPORTS. Dayton was beat twice by Barbers Hill and finished 7 over all in District. Coach must have had to pay some one to get them on the list. How do you get two kids from the 7 place team on an all district selection??? The rest of the team must have been that bad so it made them look good but not good enough except to come in second to last. Hay. I vote for coach of the year for the Dayton coach. With all this tallent and wind up second to last.... Way to Go....
