  1. I am going to hook an electric taser to all Lumberton fans...that way when someone says something overzelous oranything but standard trashtalk...zap! That does not include bythe way, me saying that Lumberton WILL beat Vidor tomorrow...that is a bit of normal trash talk and supporting my team.
  2. For the people out there who get a good laugh about the BOJO thing, I'd like to say that I go to LC-M and yea, a lot of us students laugh about it and think it's pretty corny, but it's just something to try to raise a little spirit. I mean PN-G's volleyball team has a "rock a noo" thing that nobody really gets, but whatever, it's just team spirit! So please, find something besides BOJO to talk about. Ya'll have your traditions and things at PN-G and now LC-M has theirs.
  3. You know what, I can honestly say several people, mostly other lumberton fans, need to take a class in trash talk. Its gonna be a good game. Lumberton is gonna beat vidor like they stole sumthin. It is an opinion for at least another 25 hours before it becomes fact. That is a valid trash talk comment. But man all this talk about us beating dayton again if we played them...come on guys, we lost fair and square. Take it like men. and most importantly, At the end of the week I would shake the hand of every man in this room. If you can't do the same, then sommeone has gone too far.
  4. well if yall are all that like yall say then we will find out if The Pirates are for real tomorrow night..why would we have to wait until next week..yall talked all this talk, it is time to pay up!!!!
  5. There has been some talk of this possibly happening, stay tuned.
  6. Go and watch a game Lucky you cant talk if youve never seen. True PN-G has never been known for speed but this is a different season with some new coaches and some thing have changed and for the better BTW when you can tackle Ozens runners from behind you cant be too slow
  7. lol...im sure this will be printed out and posted in the Vidor locker room....talk about Bulletin Board Material
  8. We didn't steal anything. Just come on out to the bear cave Friday night and then on here after your game and we'll talk. BOJO
  9. Im assuming Kvilleballa don't play ball but he definitely talks alot of noise. Hey man your only making it worse on the boys that will be on the field & on your little town. Hope everyone from Kville don't act like you. Yall might have a better team this year than yall have had in the past but that was needed so chill & save some of that big talk for Friday night. Let's see if you can still talk the talk during and then for sure after the game. If yall beat WOS hats off to the Cats but I along with 99.9% of SET don't see it happening. You keep saying how prepared yall are well don't you see Hooks has had WOS prepared for year after year after year.........and for real teams. I seriously doubt Kville is the least of their worries. Nothing more from me I will chat with ya on Sat. mornin. later
  10. don't know bout everyone else but I would love to be at this game.Kville vs. WOS. dang Kville can talk some noise let's just see if they can still talk it after Friday night. By the way you can't even put Kville coach in the same catagory as Hooks. Hooks is the man. Kville can't even compare. My point will be proved Friday night. Now if Hooks had Kville team it would be a whole different game. That would be a real game.
  11. Orangefield prepares for 'best winless team in state' By JIMMY GALVAN According to Orangefield head football coach Blake Morrison, his Bobcats will play "the best winless team in the state of Texas" this week. Unfortunately for Bulldog fans, he's talking about Jasper as the Bobcats will visit the Bone Yard for the first time in this Friday's second district contest. "They talk about getting that first win of the season and sometimes that is the hardest one to get," said Jasper head football coach Danny Lauve. "And right now, we are just looking for anything positive. Once that happens, there is a possibility of us getting on a roll. "Once that happens for us, it could be trouble down the road for other teams," Lauve said. Morrison said district opponents should throw out Jasper's 0-4 start and take a close look at the Bulldogs. "They are a good football team," Morrison said. "They have played some tough opponents and do a great job defensively. Offensively, they have suffered a lot of bad breaks but they have a good recipe for a good team there." Morrison said there is no chance his Bobcats would overlook an 0-4 Jasper team. "We don't have the luxury of overlooking anybody," Morrison said. "We go into each game as if it was a determining game for us to make the playoffs. "Jasper is good, plus we have to play them at their place," Morrison said. Lauve sees a "sound football team" in Orangefield. "They are a well-coached team," Lauve said. "They are not great athletes but they won't beat themselves by lining up wrong. They are going to be at the right spot at the right time." Orangefield dropped a 35-27 decision to Silsbee in their district opener. Two Bobcat turnovers late in the fourth quarter sealed their fate. "We had too many turnovers," Morrison said. "It was a good game but a disappointing loss. We played as well as we could offensively" Leading the Bobcat attack this season is threeyear starter at quarterback Brett Ramsey. The Bobcats return 11 starters from last year's 4-4 squad. "Orangefield has a chance to make things happen," Lauve said. "We're going to have to use ball control and quit making mistakes." Mistakes like fumbling the ball in their own end zone and allowing opponents to recover the loose ball for six points. Kirbyville's first score of the night came when a direct snap to quarterback Timiti Cauley was fumbled and recovered by Kirbyville's LeKarlis Diggles. "It is one of those deals when you just want to start the game over," Lauve said. Morrison believes his Bobcats will have to play a complete game to defeat Jasper. "We have to be clicking on all cylinders on special teams, offense and defense," Morrison said. "We can't give up any big plays and move the ball offensively. We're not coming in there thinking we are going to big play anything but we need to control the ball and keep our defense off the field." With William Ellis nursing a sore shoulder, Timiti Cauley started at quarterback against Kirbyville. Lauve said it is uncertain who will get the starting nod this week. "We are waiting for one of those guys to step forward and hopefully this is the week for one of them to do it," Lauve said. "We don't want to continue to split time with them." With Ellis out during the open week with a sore shoulder, Cauley received the majority of the reps in preparation for the Kirbyville game. "We just felt better going into this game with Timiti because of everything he knew from practice," Lauve said. Lauve said he is looking for one of his sophomore quarterbacks to step up and provide leadership and "get things done on the field" before deciding on a final starter for the remaining contests. Jasper is also having to deal with the loss of two starting players in Jordon Tukes and Avery Hadnot to grades. Both players are expected to return in time for the Oct. 13 matchup with Bridge City. Morrison knows this contest between two 0-1 district teams is vital to any post-season hopes. "It's a big game for both schools," Morrison said. "The loser of this game is going to be sitting behind the eight ball because neither of us have faced West Orange-Stark. "We have to play our best game this week," Morrison said. "This Friday night, we have to do whatever it takes to win."
  12. Yea the new Turf is the way to go and Coaches want it believe me because i talk to them. New stands at Dayton are next.
  13. Oh, brother... redneck mentality at its best. Take a hint and read what those on the KFDM board have to say: [Hidden Content] Just a few comments from that link that really says it all: One poster replied: Poster #2 said: Poster #3... That's just three examples from one board. There are too many others to post for now. I have found that those who don't understand the rules try to hide their embarrassment by bashing hockey. It's NOT a "northern" sport. Here ya go (link can be found on the above thread at KFDM)...
  14. sounds to me like we just need to meet after the game and go have a beer and talk about were both team's went wrong no matter who win's. both teams with if they give it all they have no matter what the score shows. good luck to both teams
  15. and you sure talk alot after getting the loss Friday night.." what goes around" Oh never mind It already came around for yall..!!!
  16. Man Vidor sure does talk alot after getting the win Friday. Just remember what comes around goes around.
  17. you talk about records ok. nederland 1-3 correct vidor 2-2. then you will start talking about who you played. heard it before. still no respect. thats ok.we will just wait our time. sorry to upset everybody...
  18. shhhhh....didnt you get the memo...Lumberton is the only team that is not allowed to make predictions, and talk smack. Apparently when your first loss of the season is with the hardest team in the district, and the raiders of the past (who share only the same name and stadium) have a loosing record. we dont have any right to be optimistic or predict a win.
  19. Barbers Hill The Eagle volleyball team knocked off one rival in Huffman on Tuesday and will face another on Friday when they travel to Crosby for a much anticipated District 21-4A showdown. Barbers Hill took care of business against the Lady Falcons taking a 25-9, 25-13, 25-12 win. Keely Rivera led the Eagles with eight kills on the night. “They know what’s coming,†BH head coach John Leonard said. “We will talk about it tomorrow and put the game plan in on Thursday. It’s the type of game that everyone wants to play. The kids know what is at stake. They will be ready to go when 4:30 p.m. Friday gets here.†In the win over Huffman, the Eagles got outstanding games from setters Megan Burnett and Meghan McCoy. Burnett had 14 assists and McCoy had 12 in the win. “They did a great job of distributing the ball. It seemed they were getting the ball to the right hitter at the right time.â€
  20. Eagletown, whatcha mean a fluke?? Kirbyville would beat da brakes off Barbers Hill this year. Let i said before you guys lucky yall don't have to play us anymore. You can talk that bullsh** Barbers Hill doesn't fear Kirbyville!!
  21. Mike, This is a forum, that is what it is for. To make comments and voice opinions. 99% of the people on here can't make a difference on the field we just talk about it.
  22. To everyone that's apart of SETXsports.com I want to thank you! This is a great place to talk local sports.
  23. lol how can lumberton talk any smack after DAYTON! I am ready to play this one it should not be a close game!
  24. When WO-S played at Nederland in the mid-90s, WO-S already had a big lead when the QB hit a completely uncovered receiver 25 yards upfield between the hash marks. As the WR streaked to the end zone, the whistle blew. They called it an "inadvertent whistle," which negated the TD. Ned fans still cry about the 2000 "lateral" call, but it was understandable as the ball BARELY moved forward and Neumann later admitted on one of the "Chalk Talk" TV segments that it was a trick play designed to look like an incomplete pass. The fact that it moved forward had been a mistake on the QB's part. He said, "It can work big for you, but we've learned that it can also really come back to bite you."
  25. The reason we flop at times is that Nederland MUST play with a very high level of intensity... they don't have dominant athletes... they must execute and they must play with tremendous energy. They had neither Friday in Vidor. Nederland can't just walk out there and win because they're Nederland, they've got to play with a chip on their shoulder at ALL times... guess what, Vidor and all this talk, just put a HUGE FREAKIN chip on their shoulder, and you better believe Larry Neumann is going to use this to his utmost advantage. Look for an inspired effort this Friday, Homecoming, Playoff streak in the balance, Central has OWNED Nederland over the past 5 years... any good football fan will want to see this one.
