Have you all noticed that the only people that talk smack about Lumberton are people from the golden triangle. The new kid on the block, Dayton, is keeping their mouth shut just watching all of this. What is everyone's deal with Lumberton? Where is the love?!?!?!

If yall are talking about athletes in Lumberton then talk about real athletes. Don't talk about just football players. You have Justin shackleford-Great athlete at 2 sports Chad Roberts- Great athlete at 2 sports and a all-stater. This guy was the 2nd best WR to come out of Lumberton and only played one year of football. If played all 4 years who knows what would had happen. Josh Mitchell- Great basketball player for his size and who he played against and played div 1 college baseball and put up descent numbers against qualities teams at the Div 1 level. Keith Talbert-Best WR ever to play at Lumberton and Descent baseball player. Played college football and has record at that level. Clay Buccholz-Fast as greece lighting and great baseball player will be in the MLB in 2 years. Football wise just fast had OK hands and didn't run across the middle. Maybe would have been good at the college level with his speed but who knows. Chad Lutrrell-Best athletic QB to ever come out of lumberton. Also a good basketball player. Almost made the cowboys roster. Jarod Tate- if had his head on straight who knows where he who would be. This guy was a stud 6ft4 235 great pitcher and good football player if he would have passed. Tj light-flat out stud at football and also track and powerlifting. If taller would have played in the NFL. Trey Mitchell-one of the fastest players to come out of lumberton. Never had the coaches to put him in the right postitions. Played QB.WR, free saftety. Tal Light-top 3 best baseball players ever in Lumberton. Great running back. Best running Back in Lumberton history. Played at OSU for baseball and made it to Triple AAA in baseball Ryan Verde-all-state in Baseball and football. Had the record for most td's has a qb untill eckert Beat the record and only threw 50 percent of the time compared to Eckerts 90 percent of the time and dont forget he was the QB for a 8-2 Lumberton team is senior year. Also played Div 1 baseball at Lamar. Tony ECkert- Just good football player and had good wr to throw too. PEE LANGAM- Best ATHLETE to ever come out of Lumberton is what they say. These are Athletes people not just football players. Good at 2 sports or more.

i usually don't post, but after reading this Lumberton talk for the last month...... i can't keep quiet. I agree with setxfan... predictable... talk that much smack, get a lucky blown coverage, and two horrible, game changing calls by the refs to pull out a victory over BC... Then district rolls around and the excuses start flowing! I'm sure monday, we'll here about how "they could've killed dayton" if they had all their players. Lumberton, You've brought this on yourself. Your like the little kid who never got invited to the Big Boy's party. Then one day you show up, don't know how to act, make a fool of yourself, and are never invited again. The next few weeks are going to be great.

I believe they were saying the same against Waller last week... I think it will be a good game..Does Ned have the advantage??? Yes they do..are they probably a better team?? Yes they probably they are.. Former Pirate most of the people on here like to talk football and dont just get on here and be disrespectful to other teams..But you do have some people who just want to get on here and talk bad about certain teams.Ususally it is the guy's who have like 10 or 20 posts under there name.The guys who have alot ,are the serious ones that are mature enough to hold conversation.

I hate how all of you people get on these boards and do nothing but dog on Vidor. If that is what makes you feel good that is fine, but I think it is time to grow up just a little. Do I think Vidor is going to beat Nederland? No, I think Nederland will win by 10, but don't trash talk the people who are rooting for their team. I am from Vidor and I hope they play a good game, and who knows stranger things have happened on the field. I think most of you are out of high school so lets show a little maturity and stop trash talking with high school kids. So all of you who keep putting down people and calling them names for saying Vidor will win, just shut your mouth and grow up. I've searched the boards and I see no one that gets put down more than people from Vidor and I don't understand why. Will someone answer this question for me??

it sure seemed that you were bashing. The lumberton raiders are proud of their town and their team which is somehting they have never had. Without tem pride this forum wouldnt exist at all in fact texas high school football would not exist . So when you made the statement that they should shut up until they win in district that sounded like a bash pretty badly, especially when you look at it from the perspective that none of these teams have won anything in district. Lumberton can talk all they want just like Nederland or Port Neches can, and for you hfaninthestands makes you look like a jerk dont bash them for being proud. However you can bash them for some of the ways they show it( stunner be a little nicer though no less proud). But the fact remains they scored like 5 times against hamshire fannett even when it was a scrimmage and were turned around inside the 30 and hf didnt score once.

To all who are reading the above smack talk............please don't associate all Kirbyville sports with Football.....we DO have class.....just not shown in some places.....THANKS! Right now the Cats are showing well with the teams they have played (lets just forget Carthage -- big mistake, Coach, on that scheduling embarrassment), but the true test will be when they get on the field with all of the other teams who have big talking posters on here...........GOOD LUCK AND STAY HEALTHY ATHLETES !!!!!!!

#21 is James Burch, a three way starter for Newton , offence , defence and special team. He has show just how much speed he has...from eluding tackles to open field running (talk about after burners) He will be a name to watch, along with Jenkins and NIcho Adams and a host of other Eagles :shock:

If your going to talk about it ,GET IT RIGHT it's 22-4A. This district will kill 21-4A in the playoff's(3-0)

If you talk to anybody ages 70-40 PNG/Jackets rivalery has been lost in the shuffle but was as big as PNG/Ned. If you can remember "Poor little NDN boy's, jackets going to sting those NDN boy's. J A C K E T S - sting um jackets sting um. And all this was sung to the indians fight song, by the jacket band. Please, my wife and mother still sing that just to fire me up.
