BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 Yates is credited with 1000 students and they are in 3-ALCM has ......1123 /4-ALivingston.........1143/ 4-AOzen .............1264/ 4-ASo if these 4-A schools drop to 1000 students, is it possible they move into 3-A??????
Dick Vitale Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 They were not credited with 1000 at the time they were considering re-alignment...It will be corrected after next season, and they will be 4A again, guaranteed. Along with a few other Houston area 3A teams.

Dick Vitale Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 6A? Thats some mess for football!! All of this 5A D-1 and D-2 crap! >:(....You don't need multiple state champs in each classification! :o
AggiesAreWe Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 As far as this 6A stuff, all that's going to happen is each classification gets "renamed or reclassified". What is now 1A DI will become 2A, 2A will be 3A, 3A will be 4A, 4A will be 5A, and 5A will be 6A. There will be some schools that are borderline that will remain in the same classification. I expect the lower 5-10% of schools in each class to remain in the same classification they are now in. Example, Lumberton who is currently 4A, could remain 4A since they are in the bottom 10% of 4A enrollment. The rest of 20-4A will probably move to 5A.Just a guess though on how the UIL will set the enrollment numbers.

catfever Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 So Aggie, do you think any of the current 21-3A teams could stay 3A since the numbers might be changing some? If the number is moving up enough to include schools such as Lumberton, maybe the bottome number might move up.
