3-A Enrollment

Yates is credited with 1000 students and they are in 3-A
LCM has ......1123  /4-A
Livingston.........1143/ 4-A
Ozen .............1264/ 4-A

So if these 4-A schools drop to 1000 students, is it possible they move into 3-A??????
[/quote]

Very possible but do not see these schools dropping that much in enrollment. 3A (which will be reclassified as 4A next realignment) ceiling number may go up to as much as 1050 next realignment, but not much more.

There will be a 6A but it is just 5A being reclassified.

As far as this 6A stuff, all that's going to happen is each classification gets "renamed or reclassified". What is now 1A DI will become 2A, 2A will be 3A, 3A will be 4A, 4A will be 5A, and 5A will be 6A.

There will be some schools that are borderline that will remain in the same classification. I expect the lower 5-10% of schools in each class to remain in the same classification they are now in. Example, Lumberton who is currently 4A, could remain 4A since they are in the bottom 10% of 4A enrollment. The rest of 20-4A will probably move to 5A.

Just a guess though on how the UIL will set the enrollment numbers.

Please note that sometimes "takes" CAN mean gladly accepts a kid (or kids) and then tries to condemn other schools that happen to get kids that transfer into their school in the Houston area....and sarcastiscally mocks said program, because they have an excellent magnet school of communications... ::) ::)

Also, please note that 1 transfer in five years is somewhat different than 40 this past August who, rest assured, were not coming for communications excellence.  Get a new excuse, that one has ZERO credibility.  Are you not curious as to why the girls program doesnt have nearly the success that the boys does?

So does ONE murder not get you lethal injection in the State of Texas, or does it take 40 to get that penalty?  ;)
