ST413 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 3A stat title game. It should be a good one. Madison has the size and depth to natch Yates, even in numbers of big men. I haven't seen Madison play but it appears that they play just as many players if not more than Yates. I know my Tigers gave Yates a battle with great speed, good guard play and a big game by an undersized big man. Yates press wasn't a factor against our guards. With Madison's size neutralizing Yates big men, the inside game could be a wash or even in their favor. Without seeing them play I am not sure how good their guards are or how deep they can go in that position. If they are solid at guard, I think this game will be won by Madison and maybe by a decent margin. I don't know how many players Madison will use in a matchup like this but I have seen Yates three times this year and on all three when the game was tight, Wise's bench got a few players smaller, if that happens they lose what has been their big advantage over most teams. I won't be surprised with a win by either team but my pick is Madison.
JMT Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Should be a fun game. It's been a good year for the Little Trojans. This group gets along so well and they all seem to enjoy the team concept, which wasn't the case last year or the year before.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 after watching Madison play im going with Madison, and if Yates players start fouling out early it might get ugly.
Honest Abe Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Madison should take this one. Should be an entertaining game to say the least.
elove89 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 I seen Madison in the YMBL,,,,Very big for any classification .. If they can handle Yates press (which is not easy to do). They should win this one,,,,, Will be a good one...
ozensfinest Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 I'm going to go with the experienced team and coach Yates

Ozen lost by 3 in NOVEMBER, yes, but how do you equate THAT with your team being able to play with them since you beat Ozen?...Its about matchups, and Nederland does not have ANYONE to match up with the Yates bigs...at least Ozen had SOME athletes, that will allow a late run or something like that...Nederland? No...GREAT coaching, but Yates would be a HUGE match up problem for Nederland...Come on man, this is what I do, I didn't learn this on YouTube! ::) ::)
stevenash Posted March 10, 2013 Report Posted March 10, 2013 Be honest Dickie when I ask you this because I already know the answer. If you had watched Nederland warming up when they visited Silsbee, who would you have chosen?

What does that have to do with the Yates/Nederland question? I know that Yates has better athletes, more of them, and a good coach, that runs a pressure defense system. Nederland does not have enough bodies to play with a team like Yates. Even if the stick in the beginning, they will be worn down by games end. Pretty simple.
