HAWK85 Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 HJ - I agree with Lazeek on most of his list .....dont forget Calvin Carrier ...class of 82 gotta be top 5
Lazeek Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 HJ:1-Ryan Donahoe2-Rocky Rocquemore3-Kenyon Spears4-Shannon Holmes5-Sam WilliamsThis is done by position....the thread said "starting 5"

Eric Alexander class of 2000 was a very good basketball player, but better in football. (not the tall kid mentioned) played football for LSU and then with the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars
HAWK85 Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 sorry I missed the starting five ......Calvin would still be there.... easy replace for Holmes not to take anything away from his (Holmes) accomplishments ...... but I played with and against both numerous times Carrier hands down .....
Lazeek Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Hawk85,You're waaaaay too old to have played with or against Holmes....c'mon man! ;D
HAWK85 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 all you have to do is ask .....the Watts boys ..TREY was my best friend back then... so yes it was pick games in the summer but ballin nontheless ....
stevenash Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 If you were a close friend of Trey , then you would not have been old enough to play against a graduate of HJ in 1982 who ought to be approaching 50 right now.

HAWK85 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 you guys must not have much to do during the day .......played with Carrier back in the 80s ...for those of you that actually know Trey then you would know that he has an older friend ex Hawk ballplayer .....that stayed in shape in the summer palying with all the guys that of that era including Holmes .......

Lazeek Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 Robb,Trey is only a year older than Shannon. So if you played against Shannon in pick up ball (which hardly qualifies as a determining factor of who was better) then you were playing against Shannon when he was a soph. or junior and you were what? 23 or 24 years old? It's your opinion but I don't agree.
