Standley Bonewitz 1995 state tourney. 40 something in semis dad pulled him early and then either 37 or 39 in the finals and dad pulled him early. He could have easily broken the record. Also had 10+ assist in both games

Rashard Lewis in 1997 break the backboard at the Hastings gym in the second quarter, they moved the game to Elsik (1 minute walk over) he scored 51 pts

Best I saw was Rickel Thomas of West Sabine vs. San Augustine this year. We lost 71-68 but he scored 33 points and had 8 or 9 three-balls. Was on fire and was absolutely unguardable that night.

DeCarlos Frank dropped 46pts on Nederland @ Ozen his Senior year. Went 12-15 from 3-land plus he broke the Ozen single game scoring record in front of Kendrick Perkins (Previous record holder). The 3-pointer he hit to break the record was from the volleyball 10-foot line on the floor!! What made it more crazy was that the game before that, Harley (LCM) had just set the district record with 10 3-pointers in a game.

against hamshire fanett tuesday dropped 39 on da highly ranked mustangs dat same friday...not to mention 3a player of da year

Anderson kid from Hardin.  51 pts vs. Anahuac. 10 3's

I think it was 1985.  LaBradford Smith was a sophmore at BayCity, playing against LaMesa in the state semi-finals.  He did not miss a shot, 12/12 from the field and 5/5 from the line for 29 points.  Poor kid from LaMesa tried to take a charge in transition and LaBradford jumped over him and dunked on the way down.  SuperDrum went nuts.  Great performance in a big game from a sophmore.
