Sport1971! Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 The way Kountze "just using that for configuration of this thought" wins a district title; goes as follows, winning against AP all three times and beating EC, DP, & HH at least twice for a guaranteed outright district title. For a playoff spot it starts the same with AP, but differs in the rest. That team would have to beat one of the above three teams twice and the other two just once and that would guarantee the third spot...beating two of those three twice and the other just once would in turn give you the second playoff spot. I am sure there are several back door ways to get there, but this is the most straight forward. If you don't like Kountze than feel free to insert your own team in that slot and follow the same pattern and it will end with the same outcome. No particular order...pitching is the wild card for this district, and not the lack of but just the opposite. The odds of winning my be a little better one vs the other but over all the below four are pretty tight.Kountze ... Odds are higher having two guys like Franklin and MarshallDeweyville ... Next best odds because of having a guy like HowellEC ... Decent pitching but good bats raises the odds in EC's favor.Hardin ... Near equal odds with a guy like williams and decent bats.THIS DISTRICT WILL REMAIN TIGHT THRU THIS NEXT ROUND OF PLAY...IT WILL COME DOWN TO THE ABOVE GUYS FINAL OUTING WITH ONE ANOTHER.

Kountze Ec played a really bad game against the pirates last fri. Look for a different team next round. [/quote]the only way EC might be able to beat D-Ville is if they throw there #2 pitcher. last friday night Howell had A bad night walked more batters than I ever seen him walk And EC was still only able to get 2 runs. D-ville finaly have there bats working a lot better and stole 10 bases 2 of them being Home JMO Deweyville will take first in this District EC will take Second Kountze and hardin battle for third.
7texas Posted March 26, 2013 Author Report Posted March 26, 2013 East chambers pitching isn't very good. IMO the other teams in the district are going to take advantage of that. D-ville is most likely going to win with howel on the mound. Hardin is definitely going to contend for the first spot in the district with all of their players coming back afters grades. And as far as Kountze they are going to have a tough road if pitching doesn't show up.1. d-ville2. hardin3. EC

Hitting is what needs to come around for Kountze.. and Kountze will be fine..
big time Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 Any one of the four teams could win district. E.C. would not have a record of 3-1 if there pitching wasn't very good.
DP70 Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 Standings after yesterday, I think.1. Deweyville (4-1)2. East Chambers (3-1)3. Kountze (3-2)4. Hardin (2-3)5. Anahuac (0-5)

He pitched well against Kountze the 1st go around, the Defense didn't help him out with the errors and still held the Lions to only 4 runs, 2 being earned. So the Pirates feel confident with McHenry Pitching and he has delivered so far in District.

When other teams face Howell they have the same challenge. This district has some great pitching! Proud of all of them...but have to admit I'm a bit biased to Marshall and Franklin from Kountze...LOL...sorry.
