jdawg03
Jasper threw their #4 or 5 guy against LCM....just because of some injruies and lack of pitching depth......Wouldnt use this to rate either team.....I personally think its pretty impressive that they stayed within 5 runs of LCM considering the guys they through had very little pitching experience
MIF04
I do like the fact (from a Jasper perspective) that they scored 6 runs against LCM's first 2 pitchers (Dugas and Ehlert).

Jasper can hit . MIF04, not only their first 2 but probably #1 & 2 of the staff.
jdawg03
the 1 and 2 pitchers were not injured but the #3 isnt pitching this weekend so they are really thin on pitching...Coach just wants to throw his aces against Orangefield and WO-S tommorow because he prolly feels like he can beat them a little easier...You throw Alvis tonite and lose against LCM, then your pretty much screwed for atleast one game tommorow pitching wise...Seems like a wise decision to me
Bears
Jasper is probably the best hitting team we have faced with the exception of Brenham, up and down Jasper's lineup they are a solid bunch with 2 big boys in the middle. Dugas gave up 4 in the firt 4 innings and Ehlert 2 in the final 3, it didn't appear that either one had there best stuff, but that is baseball. The way the Bears are swinging right now it would not have made a difference who Jasper threw. Even the outs posted by the Bearswere hard shots, but give Jasper credit they are solid and should have no problem in that district.

jdawg03
Jasper is really thin on pitching right now so Coach Mixon wanted to save his aces for OF and WO-S...Just to make sure he won them....had the #3 pitcher been healthy this weekend...im sure LCM would have saw Alvis last night
