no-look Posted April 7, 2013 Report Posted April 7, 2013 Its according to if they can win that coveted second place. ;D
AggiesAreWe Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 In my best HJ "speak", "Silsbee will be lucky to get 3rd in district next year." ;)
stevenash Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 I agree. They play a weak schedule and don't do enough sport specific off season training.
no-look Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 How many starters does Silsbee have coming back?

Skip Bayless Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Doesn't really matter. They will lose to Yates once again. Talent isn't there to compete neither is the coaching.

Savant19 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Yep, couldnt get in to Bellaire . . . .quota already met. City of Bellaire 2% black population . . . . . all black bball team.

Basketball IQ Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 Have to agree with Skip on this one in regards to the complaining about how Yates builds a roster, Silsbee and Kountze have been swapping personnel forever. Yates will continue to be the bully on the block because they rebound, press and shoot the ball fairly decent from the outside and until the Tigers, Hawks and Mustangs become more proficient in areas other than the press Yates will own this neck of the woods for some time to come.....

Hit those open shots = less track more game shots in the gym ;D

Trying to compare these two small towns who swap players back and forth compared to Yates who 'attracts' players from Houston, a city of 4-6M plus other countries is laughable. Same when trying to compare transfers to any other SETX school. Back on topic: How far will Silsbee advance next year? Depends on their matchups in the playoffs.
smoketownswag Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 the tigers DO gave good coaching and this year we are getting micheal McCain and if they didn't have good coaching then why didn't we lose the 1st round
ballup Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Silsbee will go 2 maybe 3 rounds. McCain will get new comer of the the year. WOS will win district. Silsbee will have alot of young talent
BADSANTA Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Elam, McCain, and Thomas will be a heck of a back court.
BADSANTA Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 I still see a height problem for Silsbee. When football ends Reed is 6"3 and he maybe the tallest one. Wish they had a few 6'5 guys to crash the boards like years past.
AggiesAreWe Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Coaches need to get the '6"6 325lb Patrick Hudson on the floor. ;)
