Thanks Rich, we may be opponents during the season, but when the playoffs come around...20-4a teams always still seem to root for our teams.  We have a district that is one of the toughest in texas, and all of us in 20-4a should be proud of all our kids.
Just because you get hammered every week doesn't mean you have a tough district. I would try to figure out how get my enrollment numbers to look 3a.

We're going to find out real quick the bi-district pecking order. We open with Ned in The Den and after we travel to Willis for our layup we go to BH, get Dayton at home and bookend it with SC in Turner. Call me crazy but I think we beat Ned at home in the opener, hammer Willis and BH and squeak by Dayton in Crosby. If we have any sort of defense we could be 4-0 playing SC for the district title week 5. We also get Kingwood Park at home this year. I'm predicting 9-1.

They (Nuevo Leon) had some decent athletes last year and good size. I see BH beating Crosby this year. ;)

P.S, the schedule was for two years with same teams. We'll see what Gauge does after this year with pre-district. I heard Katy and Aledo ::)

It's blue ;D We were suppose to play at Lumberton last year, but it had to be moved to BH due to some construction at Lumberton last year. This year we travel there and of course the other team comes here ;D BTW, I forgot to tell Coog, when was the last time Crosby at any sport had a boys team and girl team ranked #1 in state? lol
Nah Zapril, our three FBS recruits and honorable mention all-state tackle Josh Blackburn make us look good. I'm a forecaster by trade so I look at trends and statistics just as a habit and gamble (make a prediction) on a hunch much like a broker does. Can't be right every time but stats often tell the story. I wasn't wrong many times last year about anything.

. . . and never Tradin, but would you rather be ranked number one in high school or hold the Astros single game RBI record? As my son would do . . . #jrtowles
Last year we won by 18 with the 2nd team in the last half of the 4th quarter. That's with a long td run called back for two players hand-fighting and and Singleton dropping one in the endzone after he beat the Eagle defenders by 15 yards. Should have easily been 49-17, and don't forget the td y'all got before the half was on a broken play Denny just made a great play out of. Austin is averaging 165 ypg rushing and his brother is averaging 102.5 in the two previous meetings between Crosby and BH. Throw that in with one of the top 20 receivers in the state and y'all are in a world of trouble. I predict BH sets a new attendance record and everyone is there to see them go a resounding 0-1 to start district play. I know Dayton fans say it every year Tradin but . . . we're loaded this year. ;)

I hope so, it’s always nice to see the boys together praying before the game.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Coach Mathews makes sure that they continue to do so.

I know Dayton fans say it every year Tradin but . . . we're loaded this year. ;)
Agree, ya'll will be loaded this year, but I still have to hope we can pull it out against ya'll. BH may surprise some teams. I don't think we match up well with ya'll or SC, but I think we might get a "w" against Dayton. That's why I predicted 7-3 with a possible 8-2. I do see atleast a 3-1 or sweep against 20-4a this year in the playoffs though ;D

Just an early prediction to get everyones blood flowing. ;D Serious though, SC, Crosby, BH, and Dayton were young last year. Vidor loses all world QB/LB, Ned will be tough, and who else in 20-4a? PNG still a year to two away, Livingston wasn't a good playoff team, maybe Ozen or Central?

    • That should tell everyone something pretty clearly. Does anyone really think BH is recruiting elementary kids, to get them to transfer in Jr. high? Seriously? Here is the "dirty little secret" about BH: Most people move to the district for a quality living environment to raise their young family, and benefit from the outstanding acedemics at BH. Even If all athlectics suddenly disappeared from BH, people would still want their kids in the district. If thats not enough to convince anyone, and BH really was determined to recruit, first step would be to have open enrollemnt. It is closed.        Yes, I get it, no one ever wants to give BH the benefit of the doubt on anything. Some of the accusations are beyond ridiculous though. This paranoia the BH critics are afflicted with is not just sad, its flat out laughable.
    • Opting is always an option. Are they considering any BC assistants? Highly qualified after that season they put up.
    • Be that as it may, only time will tell. Hide and watch. Don’t be surprised if the next HC hire uses his own recipe. That happens more than not historically. I am not arguing the point that Hooks & CT had a winning combination that could’ve been carried over. I’m saying that finding someone to do that is not going to be as easy as one might think. Tell me again why Saban’s replacement, who even has Saban’s assistance if he wants it, just lost another game to an unranked team and has taken the Tide out of playoff contention? Why wouldn’t he just follow the success of possibly the greatest college football coach ever lived?
    • We've acknowledged having 2 HOF coaches hasn't been like most other schools. So why everyone jumps to the conclusion it wouldn't work here is beyond my comprehension. I see it carry over with these other hires. Gilmer, Aledo, North Shore, Austin Westlake. Next man up that continues the system in place has instant success. Matter fact there was 2 rookie HC that won the state championship the same year we handed over the keys. Same book. Same recipe. Better ingredients.
