adminbaberuth Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Nederland holding it's own @Deer Park Tourney against some pretty decent competetion. Anxious to see if PNG can snap back in their tournament @Lufkin to get a feel on how 20-4A should play out. With Lumberton coming on strong and Vidor playing some decent ball it might get interesting down the stretch.
adminbaberuth Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 From PANews DEER PARK -- Beau Helmke pitched a complete-game five-hitter as Nederland downed Clear Creek 4-3 Thursday to highlight a 1-1 afternoon at the Deer Park baseball tournament. The Bulldogs, 6-4 for the season, lost 5-4 to Deer Park in eight innings in their other first-day outing. Nederland plays Cy Falls at 12:30 p.m. today and Houston Westbury at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Deer Park rallied with a run in the seventh to tie the game 4-4 and force an extra inning. Jordan Stanley, pitching in relief of Matison Smith, took the loss.
Mack3 Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Correction to PA News......Smith took the loss in yesterday's defeat as it was his runner that scored. Dogs lost another close one today, 4-3 to Cy-Falls. Only had 2 hits against a tough pitcher. Play their final game in this round-robin tournament against Westbury tomorrow at 10.
Mack3 Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Stanley pitched the whole game...did a good job. Tough to win when youhave 2 measly hits.
KFDM COOP Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 Yea but your playing a good 5A team.It will pay off in District!

adminbaberuth Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Dogs are looking strong. That is the second nice outing by the Moshier kid as he pitched well against Sulphur. If PNG can right itself before district and LCM clicking, look for very exciting district race.
