PNG and NED are playing for DC Tuesday... Winner will most likely take the crown for 2013... PNG beat NED in 1st half 2-1 with a walk off HR in the 10th I believe it was.... So that one should be another slugfest between them two powerhouses... Good Luck to both...

The wheels would have to completely fall off for Ned and PNG not to make the playoffs...  Lumberton should be in with a win against Livingston...

I think LCM has the easiest schedule left to play, and Lumberton probably the hardest left...

I believe if Lumberton can take down Central tomorrow and Livingston Tuesday they should be locked in ... because even if Vidor wins out and Lumberton loses 3 they will have tie breaker over Vidor ....

Even with the easier schedule LC-M can't be unfocused with a team like Ozen who has showed life here of late in making games close... and 1 stumble down the stretch and Livingston or Vidor could step in for the post season... LCM has beaten Livingston twice this year And Vidor 1 time...

Ozen and Central with the schedules they have left they could upset some apple carts going into the post season...

8.  Central              1-8    Lumberton, Vidor, Livingston, LC-M, Nederland

Nederland is in.

PNG is in with one more win OR losses by Vidor and Livingston.

Lumberton is in with one more wins unless one of their three losses is against Livingston and Livingston wins out. If they only win against Central and then lose out, unless Vidor or Livingston win out they will at least have a tie for fourth with a split tie breaker.

Vidor must win out OR win three of four including a win vs LCM and two losses by LCM in their remaining four.

Livingston must win out OR win three of four including a win vs Lumberton and three losses by Lumberton in their remaining five.

8.  Central              1-10    Livingston, LC-M, Nederland

Nederland is in and clinches District Title with two wins OR one win and one PNG loss OR two PNG losses

PNG is in, see above for District Title possibility

Lumberton is in with two wins OR with one win and one Livingston loss

LCM needs two wins and Vidor loss OR one win vs Vidor AND another Vidor loss

Livingston needs LCM to lose two of three and Livingston has to win out - OR needs Lumberton to lose two of three and Livingston win out OR Lumberton lose three of three and Livingston win two of three

Vidor must win vs. LCM and depending on other results either needs to win one of the other two or both of the other two

*There are a few other possibilities, just not up to typing it all up

You are correct. Lum wins 2 of 3 but still finishing 3rd in district. I think White and the Raiders will beat LCM tomorrow but that should be a heck of a game that could go either way.

If tomorrow Lumberton can pull it out vs LCM, Vidor can pull it out vs PNG, and Livingston takes care of Central... We would have a 3 way tie for 4th between LCM, Vidor, and Livingston all at 6-6 (with LCM owning the breaker over Livingston) That would be awesome and make things real interesting next week!

That would make things interesting next week but I don't see Vidor beating PNG.  But that's why they play the game.  Plus PNG might be sleep-deprived from playing against Ned all night.  :)

This would also put Lumberton and PNG tied for second.

I also wouldn't "pick" the Pirates tonight against the Tribe, but they did hold the Indians to 1 hit in their last game (Indians got a run in on a walk with the bases loaded followed up with a three RBI double). So there definitely is possibility the Pirates could pull this one out. Maybe they can squeak a few runs across the plate early enough to get some confidence as they have REALLY struggled to put runs on the board against anyone other than Ozen and Central.

I think the LCM/Lumberton game will be the game of the night. Will be interesting to see if the Raiders can circle the wagons and put things back together before its too late. They started 5-0 and since have gone 2-4. Come on L-town! Finish strong!

I think looking at the schedules left I believe Livingston has the hardest road left... then Vidor, Then Lumberton then LCM. Livingston and Vidor have 2 playoff contenders left, Lumberton and LCM have 1 play off team and 1 of the weaker teams left... I believe Ozen is showing to be a stronger opponent here of late is the reason I gave LCM the easiest route.

What makes this even MORE interesting is that every team still fighting for the playoffs can still control their own destiny without any help from another team with the exception of Livingston (they need a Lumberton loss and two LCM losses even if they win out). After Tuesday night's games, there is a very good chance LCM is 8-5 and Lumberton is 7-6. And the winner of Vidor and Livingston will be 7-6... So there is some HUGE value in the Tuesday games next week and they should set up an even BIGGER night next Friday. Cant wait.
