Two state ranked teams to face off Tuesday night in non-district action in Silsbee. Hudson is in first place in 20-3A at 7-0, Silsbee in first place in 21-3A at 8-1. Both teams are 20-4 on the season.

What are your thoughts on this game?

I would think Silsbee to go at this game more as a game to work on things needing to be worked on . Rather than a game to try and win. I would also think that LH could possibly be doing the same. I wouldnt look to much in who comes out the winner in this game. Rather look at what Silsbee gains from this game

I thought the same about the Carthage vs. BC game but Carthage started their #1 pitcher and he went like 5 innings and then brought in their #2 for the rest..... I think it all depends on who LH has up next.  Good luck to Silsbee!!!!!!! I say Silsbee wins 4-2  ;D
It would be nice for Silsbees batters to get to look at LH best pitching. But like you said it would depend on who they play next .

I know for a fact that Silsbee will not be throwing their #1 or #2, not sure about Hudson but do not expect them to throw their best.
Thats correct Aggi.

He just happens to know what the coaches plans for this game is......

We have had a starting pitcher on the DL for several weeks that will get his first start and throw for a VERY limited pitch count, then there will be a big mix of getting an inning or two for some of the guys that haven't pitched much since district started.  There is plans to get some guys some playing time and some plans to let some of the guys that are nursing some strains and sprains some rest.  No excuses needed!

Carthage did not start their #1 pitcher. Their #1 pitched 1 inning against Bridge City and then came back and threw a complete game Vs Jasper.

I saw their game Friday against Jasper and was told the starter vs Bridge City had not pitched in over a month and looked real good.

OK, I am sorry I was mistaken... Then it was their #2 that threw first then their #1 closed right?

Their #2 had thrown the previous Friday in a 2-1 win and never saw the mound against Bridge City. The guy who started had not pitched in a month according to the fans at the Jasper game. Their #1 threw 1 inning and they closed with their QB who pitches once in a while. He too had not pitched in a long time but has pitched well when called upon. All of this was told to me at the Jasper game last Friday.
