Especially if the Jazz win in the early night game. NO team in the NBA would win this game vs the Lakers. Do you know how much media coverage the Lakers are gonna get with this win? David Stern wants it that way. All the talk will be about how they weren't even making the playoffs, to now getting 7th seed, and not having to face the Thunder and how good of a chance they have against the Spurs. Not to mention how they did it without Kobe. Media coverage, media coverage, media coverage... NBA needs it and Stern knows it. It's already been written in the books. My guess is Asik, Harden, or Lin get in early foul trouble of course and it blows the game wide open for Lakers and they win in a blowout so the conspiracy doesn't look so obvious. It's either that or they shoot another 50+ free throws in a close game where the Rockets are clearly the better team (ie-Warriors game)#Conspiracy

Only in the NBA! Unfortunately, I agree with you. NBA is all about the ratings, and they have no shame. I realize all professional sports are about the ratings, but the NBA has manipulated games/series in the past more so than other professional sports.

Lakers better hope the Jazz lose. Jazz own the tiebreaker.

Seeing as how they are facing number 5 in the west and that they are away I'm not too worried. But it doesn't matter what Utah does anyways cuz L.A. is gonna win tonight.  8)
Dont expect Houston to lay down, if Houston wins its a very good chance they move from the 7th seed to the 6th seed, so they have something to play for as well.

The league wants OKC vs. HOU (more viewers), as well as the Lakers in the playoffs. Don't forget, it's a business. The Rockets are not going to win this game. Especially if Joey Crawford is officiating tonight.
Lakers are IN! Jazz failed to show up tonight to the arena in Memphis, they sent their D-League team instead.
