NDNation Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 August is gonna take forever to get here.
johnnyarm Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 They scrimmage H-F and Texas City. Most of their skilled postion players play baseball, and with both potential QB's playing baseball, spring ball really wouldn't give them any advantage, but they do have 7 on 7 which will get the QB's and WR's on the same page. The extra scrimmage will give them a head start for the tough pre-season they have. I like their schedule. They will be ready for district with a quality pre-season.

NDNation Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 So who is the 3rd Scrimmage with? Wish we could get PAM back on our schedule.
AggiesAreWe Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013
So who is the 3rd Scrimmage with? If you do not do spring ball, you are allowed 2 scrimmages.
NDNation Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Do we still have the purple and white game?

aschom78 Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013
Only 2 scrimmages allowed.
Teams with a week zero bye are allowed a third scrimmage, but png plays Silsbee that week.
NDNation Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Yes its in the Spring. 7 on 7 's should be starting soon.
PNG1977 Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 No purple and white game...just 7 on 7...and the 2 scrimmages in the fall...can't get here fast enough for me!
sportsmom93 Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Is there any underclassmen coming up to keep an eye on besides Morris?

All three of Beaumont schools are doing spring football with Ozen starting Monday.
johnnyarm Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Watched the 7 on 7 scrimmage yesterday with WB. Really liked the enthusiasm by the Indians. Passing game really looked good with Walker and Morse on the money. Of course nothing really matters until you put the pads on, but they moved the ball like slicing through butter. PNG is going to be very young, but they have a lot of talent.

johnnyarm Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 They have Murdock, Sparks, Rose with Wardlow at TE and Halfin at RB.
pngfootball1 Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Morse won't even be in the mix...Walker is outstanding!
Scalpem06 Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 IMO our issue under BF has not been the offense, its always been a soft defense... Walker might put up points on the score board this season, but until BF learns a little D.. well you know.. scalp em

That coach has two options... 1. Go with the junior QB that is 5'7" 150 lbs, 2. Go with a sophmore QB that is 6' 190 lbs? Both threw the ball very well and both run the same 40 time. I think it will be a good competition with the one who moves the offense the best winning the starting job. A lot of young talent on that team next year. I think both will be on the field no matter what. 8)
PNGFan Posted May 7, 2013 Author Report Posted May 7, 2013 Walker has alot of talent, but I look for them to utilize him all over the field this coming year with Morse starting at QB.
