bhackle Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 I wonder why Lumberton's home game is in Vidor? I guess our field is not up to spec?

bhackle Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 This is my first time in a baseball playoff, so your saying they flip a coin to see if you play at home or a neutral site?
PhatMack19 Posted April 29, 2013 Author Report Posted April 29, 2013
This is my first time in a baseball playoff, so your saying they flip a coin to see if you play at home or a neutral site?
The coaches have to figure out whether they want to play 1 game or a 3 game series as well as where the games will be played. If they don't agree they start flipping coins. They can play at neutral sites or do a home & home series. It looks like Lumberton is using Vidor as their home field.
raiderfan19 Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 the friday game is at kingwood high not park so its all neutral fields
bhackle Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 Sounds right but Kingswood plays at home and we play away both games. Weird.

Games are at Vidor and Kingwood High. For a 5A facility, not too impressed with Kingwood High's ballpark.
bhackle Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 Hey my kid plays on the Lumberton field, before some improvements this year ever school was a step up.

Silsbee has the best facility in the area and it would make a great neutral spot.

AshlyHasBeen Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 Lumberton's field is looking a lot better than back in the late 90's when we played there. West Brook is the home field of our men's team now. Good infield but not a huge fan of the turf around home plate.

Sucks. If you win a coin toos and have one good pitcher you advance. Has nothing to do with who has the best TEAM. They should all be 3 game series. Just saying. >:( >:(
