If you call 6 1/3 innings of shutout baseball boring , then please don't take offense when I say you just gave away your gender . You must be a woman . Lol . Sowell for Dayton couldn't have walked to the plate and placed his fastball any better than he was from the mound . And I believe it was his split finger that was dropping off the table and keeping the Crosby hitters guessing . I believe it was also Sowell with a double to the gap in right center that plated the lone run if the game . Gotta give it to wehmeyer , he knows how to make things exciting , but from a coaches standpoint , I think I would rather watch the boring part of the game vs the last 1 2/3 part . Not a coach , just saying . Congratulations to the Broncos , and best if luck in the playoffs . I would also like to wish the best to Tyler Davenport from Crosby . That young man can flat out pitch . Would love to know what his high school stat totals are . He will see much success at the next level . Go Broncos !!!

Played league softball my whole childhood. Pitcher, 1st base, 3rd base, and left field. Thank you very much. The game moved really fast. There were no OMGOSH moments for ME until the top of the 7th inning. ;)
TEL
Hearn (#2) from Crosby gave up the only run. They were starting to hit him pretty hard, then Davenport came in and pretty much shut them down the rest of the game. Crosby could not get any clutch hitting and Dayton pitchers threw well. From what I understand, Crosby threw Davenport 6 innings on Friday night against Porter, two days rest throws 4 more. I know they were in a must win game, but did you not have anyone else to throw Friday night? Hard to say, but I do know Dayton is a much better team than Porter. From what I hear Dayton and Crosby both have young teams, should be a tight district next year as well. Good luck to all the Sr.'s from both clubs. TEL
I seen the stats showed where both pitched, but you threw your ace (Davenport) 6 innings. Shows Hearn only threw 1 after game was out of hand. Why didn't you use other pitchers for some innings against Porter, you needed Davenport against Dayton for the whole game. Looking at the stats you had other kids to throw with quality outings. Oh well, good luck next year.
