I have to give it to you.  That was a pretty good post.  Made me chuckle.

Let me just say that with whatever disagreements anyone has with Edelmon, you always get the truth and he'll say it right to your face.  I respect a guy like that.  I may not agree with some things he says, but I have a lot of respect for someone as 'real' as him.  I could have dinner with a fella like that even if we didn't see eye to eye.  As for some of the folks I see him 'debating' with, I don't quite know what to think of you.  It seems you only try to build your own program up by tearing others down.  That's just mean-spirited and couldn't possibly have a good ending to it.  I couldn't share a meal with you.  You'd probably spit in my food when I wasn't looking but you wouldn't do it to my face. 
I don't think HJ will disappoint this year.  I don't know that they will beat Silsbee but you cause 4 or 5 turnovers and they just might.  They will certainly be competitive in every game and that should make for an enjoyable season for players, coaches, fans on both sides of the fields.  More successful programs and better competition in our area helps everyone get better and that's what its all about.  Good luck to all the teams this year.

Oh, there is one thing that I need to correct for you.  You have listed me as one (of your hecklers) from "Other communities."  I didn't go to school in Silsbee but I have two adult childred that did.  My wife and I have lived here (Silsbee) since 1980, so, please include me with that group of Tigers that you can't stand.  Thanks, Big Poppa. ;D

No, just a good judge of people.... Childred???? Where's my2cents when you you need him? I didnt go to school at HJ, but my adult daughter did and now my two sons..... I went to French High School where I was a starter on the 84' 5A State Championship Beaumont French Buffalo football team..... One of the highlights of my life.... I think thats why I'm so passionate about my kids getting to play for a, at least, strong program... I want them to experience what I experienced.

I see what you did there, I havent "bashed" anyone, simply put, I tell the cold-hearted truth..... Here is how I can prove it, set up another thread and ask for votes.... How important is an off-season workout program for your football team? Imperative, Very, Not really, or not important... How about this, Who is responsible for making sure that high school athletes are held accountable for not showing up for off season workouts? Parent, Teacher, Athlete, Head Coach, Administration... Word it any way you want..... Look up the Spread offense on Wikipedia. Its an offense designd for teams with speed..... Get votes on this topic... Can HJ RUN with WOS or Silsbee? Yes, No.....Why would anyone who cant run sideline to sideline and be successful keep trying for 12 years??? How am I bashing? I'm calling attention to the obvious.... These are teenagers, you have to stay on their butt..... See, I put 2 more periods their instead of making a bad, untasteful reference aimed at Farmer Fran.... Anyway, I need to know why its ok to blame kids on here, and not the adults responsible? That is just bass-ackwards to me...
