Just an observation but I would say that HFtheParty has been right a couple of time.  Like saying that there are different rules for him than there is for Silsbee fans.  I'm not in either program and I can clearly see that happening, imo.  And with all of the back and forth with Farmer Fran, how is it that he/she has not made it on the list?  Just a few thoughts I had while reading this entertaining thread.

I dont think they have gotten started yet on any of that stuff. I know they are lifting and the agility training is harder than they have ever done. Its really exciting to see the motivation our new coach has instilled in these boys in such a short time. They want to work and get better. I can see a difference in my freshman already. Arms are getting bigger and motivated to work. I know that didnt answer the question but from what I understand every position on the field is open. I'm assuming he is going to wait and get some pads on to see who wants it before he solidifies any positions... I would think thats why he is waiting to teach any schemes...

He's teaching schemes. Just not complicated schemes. The slot t offense is so different than other offenses that even the basics are different from others. Blocking schemes, tackling, among other things that he is teaching. I can promise you that.

I understand. But I dont know that he is teaching plays and responsibilities as of yet. My boys said he has a process set up and its mostly getting in shape right now. He may be teaching and they just dont know it.

I commend you for not trying too hard to figure it out.  Just tell them boys to pay attention, listen up and work their tails off and everything else will fall into place.  As parents, we sometimes try to learn too much about what the team is supposed to be doing and then arm-chair qb the whole thing.  I think we would all be better 'fans' if we understood a little less about the Xs and Os.  I sense your excitement about them grinding it out and just working hard to get better and that's all that really matters.

I dont think they have gotten started yet on any of that stuff. I know they are lifting and the agility training is harder than they have ever done. Its really exciting to see the motivation our new coach has instilled in these boys in such a short time. They want to work and get better. I can see a difference in my freshman already. Arms are getting bigger and motivated to work. I know that didnt answer the question but from what I understand every position on the field is open. I'm assuming he is going to wait and get some pads on to see who wants it before he solidifies any positions... I would think thats why he is waiting to teach any schemes...

He's teaching schemes. Just not complicated schemes. The slot t offense is so different than other offenses that even the basics are different from others. Blocking schemes, tackling, among other things that he is teaching. I can promise you that.

My question is if dubois fails to make the playoffs or beat silsbee or even get a about .500 season will you go back to what you were before calling him out on every single mistake he makes?
