Rumor has it that Aaron Sharp has decided to pick between Utah and Kansas State to commit to.Could it be a package deal with Aaron Sharp and Dakota Allen going together to Kansas State. It would not surprise me
SC had better put a team like Katy on their schedule next year to get themselves prepared because the district they will be in is no joke at all, i wouldnt wanna be in that Spring/Klein district.

Im really frustrated that coach Applewhite is refusing to look at Sharp as a possible Qb like they did for Overstreet, I think Texas is making a huge mistake considering how much Sharp likes Texas.
Aaron is dealing with the same thing as Johnny Football. He wants to be a Longhorn but they already have a commitment from the top qb in the state and in my opinion from watching the film the 2nd best dual threat in the country behind deshawn watson. Sharp plays the game well from the head up and moves well but he's a little thin and arm strength could be an issue in a vertical passing game. He runs well and is fast but he's not a natural runner like Heard who rushed and passed for over 2000 yards. Heard also has a cannon attached to his shoulder where Sharp's strength is accuracy instead. If he's worried about committing to Baylor because of Randall Cunningham who has never even thrown for a 1000 yards he'll really be looking over his shoulder because UT is usually going to get the best qb that stays in-state. Over street was never going to play qb either, they just didn't want him to go to Michigan so they told him he would get a shot. Connor Brewer was the number one qb in the country before the all American game and will never take a snap at Texas.
Correct. He is not a natural runner, and that's by choice I believe....I'm hearing Baylor doesn't want Sharp as QB because they want Randall Cunningham....and IMO I don't know what film you watched, but Heard is not #2, he has an arm but not consistently accurate .....Brandon Harris is wayyyy better than Heard
Girl what film are YOU watching? Heard is rated #1 in the composite rankings which take all the recruiting services into account but Harris is #1 on 247. Harris is a one year starter but he is on a good team yet and still he's not playing the level of competition Heard is. You do know year before last Denton Guyer was 5a playing the likes of Cedar Hill, Copell, and Southlake Carroll with a 4a enrollment and went to the second round with Heard throwing for over 2200 as a sophomore. If I was Sharp and wanted an in-state opportunity I would go to Baylor and try to beat out what they have on the roster and a potential Randall Cunningham, plus the offense suits him a lot better. I'm not sure which one is the top guy but they already have offers out to 2015 qbs. Chason Virgil IMO is the one they really want, I think Stidham is system-esque. K-Sate is probably Aaron's best option though, Bill Snyder has a goot track record of working with Texas HS dual-threats with the likes of Baytown Lee's Ell Roberson and Willis' Michael Bishop. Bishop was an all-american and won the Davey O'Brien as the nations best qb under Snyder.

*Just a sidenote. You tell me a better runner of the football from the qb spot in the country. First play of the film says it all in the state championship game on SC's nemesis, runs slap over a kid and knocks him out. 2138 rushing yards and 35 tds for the future Horn.

His 190lbs shows in the footage.

Sharp looks faster, but likes being a pocket passer. Had he used his feet more in the GTown game, could have changed the outcome.
Sharp was fine. you needed a defense to beat or compete with G-Town.

Agree.  No pressure on their QB.  Still believe Sharp could have put d team on his shoulder by running when the pass wasn't there. Think about what Young did w/ his feet to carry the team to a National title. W/o his legs, no crystal football lifted.

Besides sharp, are there any other SC players that UT or Baylor or any big-time program would look at for their programs in the near future 2014-2016.Summer Creek has some real good athletes that can maybe play big-time football somewhere
too early to tell, but i don't see anyone of Flagship caliber (UT,A&M) on the roster.  Doesn't mean they won't develop into good prospects later on.

I honestly see a lot of solid d2 or d1-aa kids in the 2014 class.  around 8 or so other then Allen and Sharp (obviously d1 kids).  Torrey Johnson looks like he could potentially pick a lower level D1 offer.  other than that, its way to early to tell
IF Johnson had more height, sky's the limit

Im surprised height is hurting Torrey so much in his recruitment. He has the fastest 40 time on the team (sub 4.4 I think). I would think speed/quickness would make up for height a bit.

SC's defense would have been in HUGE trouble vs Guyer ...BUT they did show an ability to stop speedy QB's (Walter).

Guyer made GTown look really bad.
denton guyer was just playing for the 5a title in 2010. Only reason they lost was cibillo steel had malcolm brown. Guyer has the talent and coaching . Most likely they wil win state again this year unless they have some injuries.

How do you guys feel about Deunte Chatman. He will be a junior and he has amazing potential. He has the potential to be the best player in Summer Creek short history. He is ranked #23 in the state for the the class of 2015 {LSR rankings}.signingday.com has him as a 4-star recruit. At the Nike football camp in Dallas,he was the 2nd rated player in the Texas Class of 2015.He will attend the Rivals.com underclassmen challenge in Dallas on July 7 ,2013.He went to TCU camp last Saturday and ran a 4.50 40 and we timed him today at a 4.48 40.He has a 3.9 GPA and scored  a 18 ACT on his first try.If you watch the Crosby game tape ,he was number 88 playing linebacker that chased down the quarterback Walters a couple of times. This season ,he is playing running back for summer Creek

I think Texas City with the Foreman twins could end up being the best 4a team in the region though.

I think Texas City will be the favorite in 24-4a. I'm thinking the AP will have SC, Ned, and Elgin in the preseason top ten from R3. Dawson, Texas City, and Marshall should get votes.
Dawson will be in for sure. They have the most kids returning of all the 24-4a playoff teams. Marshall was 13-1 last year and hammered TC in the second round, they beat Elgin in the next round and their only loss was in the regional championship. I think Marshall lost a couple receivers but their backs and qb were sophomores. Had it not been for Marshall having to play Manor in the alamodome i think they would have won the region. How the UIL allow the region 3 championship to be held in the heart of region 4 in San Antonio baffles me but that's another story. Ned will get some votes but they lost at least 9 starters i can count so they won't be. I think Elgin returns the most starters in the region and will probably be top ten and they say Terel Simmons is supposed to be the best player in Austin even though i personally think it's Perine. District 17-4a is an Austin district so i really don't count them as truly being from the region since they only play here every other alignment.

If AP weighs returning starters that heavily then they won't put a team like SC in the top 10, which graduated 12 starters (which I think is more than average). I think it is hard to account for the quality of the returning lettermen that weren't starters.
