I voted 4 or less, with Sante Fe, Bridge City, Lumberton and possibly either Livingston or LCM being the wins.

I think they keep the momentum going from the past 2 years with a team thats determined to win. Losses to Ned and PNG. Think they get thru the rest of district. 8)

4-3  District with wins against Central, Ozen, Lumb and a tough LCM. Lossing to what will be a decent Livingston team on the road, Ned and PNG at the Reservation.

I see a team that is determined to show everyone they can win without Q... I see the test being Nederland, Central and PN-G... They will be overlooked by most and like a snake they are going to bite more then 1 team after they look past the Pirates... I feel the winner of the Vidor/Nederland game will be District Champions... I will say that loosing Q leaves a big hole to fill on both sides of the football... He was a great leader for this team... But I think what he taught this team was no matter your size if you want it bad enough its going to take some big ole boys to stop you ( Ex. Nederland, Summer Creek ) With that and some great heart still left at Vidor I see a good season and more beyond this... so count us out if you want.... we shall see at the end of the year :-D

as far as the OC goes... I am sure it will come from inside ;-D there are a couple of additions to the coaching group ( can't say but we all know who they are going to be ) from conversation with someone very close to the Pirates this morning I gather we will be again very scrappy and you know the coaches will adjust as we have always done when loosing a good one to another program... Good Luck to Coach DuBois and his new home team HJ Hawks! I am sure he will fit in and be taken well by their fans! Vidor Will be fine with the additions in coaching and the sliding around of current staff to fill the OC.... ;-D

dont know about the record but they should end up right behind NED, unless they implode on Homecoming versus Central thus making them finish up in the 3rd spot.

Foreman is a good one....Central/ Vidor has been my favorite game of the year for a long time.  Can't wait for the 2013 editition.  Friday Night Lights at its best!

I see Vidor winning 7 games this year...Sante Fe, Bridge City, Livingston, LC-M, PN-G, Ozen and Lumberton.  They have lost a lot when it comes to personnel but Coach Matthews will keep the Pirate ship afloat and headed in the right direction.  I think they have one of the softer non-district schedules but will stumble against Cleer Creek.  With the 5 district wins they would qualify for the 3rd playoff spot...

Unless Vidor has petitioned UIL for another year of eligibility for Montana, there's no way the Pirates are winning seven games. You will battle for a playoff spot but, you won't be close to the team you have been the last couple seasons.
