Wow, I didn't think my statement would get you'll going like it did this morning.  I know the games still have to be played but I feel like there are 2 guarantees about 20-4A this year.

1. Nederland will make the playoffs
2. Lumberton will not make the playoffs.

I say that to say I personally feel the other 6 teams, pending injuries, lucky breaks and the graduation of some players, all have a legitimate chance of making or missing the playoffs.
As long as Coach Matthews is the Captain of the Pirate ship, I don't see Vidor being consistently at the bottom of this district, we have Lumberton for that...

Adding Alvin Credeur to an already great Pirate coaching staff bodes well for the our team. IMO, it's about coaching in high school football, plain and simple. Vidor is loaded with playoff caliber coaches. The future looks bright and I look forward to another exciting year.

As much as I'd LOVE to project a no win season for Vidor ...that crazy offense they run is effective.  If they can develop some reliable passing ...look out.
